Did he do it?
Lawyers on both sides of the Michael Skakel murder trial will argue that question to a jury that could begin deliberating Skakel's fate as soon as this afternoon.
Prosecutor Jonathan Benedict will tell the jury of six men and six women that Skakel's own words - in admissions to the crime and conflicting statements about his whereabouts the October 1975 night Martha Moxley was killed - are enough to convict him.

Some men said: "give him Gas"
Others said: "shove lectricity up his #$%$#@ a$$"
More than likely he will walk.
However, He will pay.
And pay dearly.

Once, just once, I would like to see a Kennedy get convicted for something!
After the final arguments, Judge John F. Kavanewsky Jr. will instruct the jurors
The author did have to include the Judge's middle initial, didn't she?

It's a Kennedy. Of course he is guilty of
something. Criminality is in their genes, along with seducing everything but the bathroom sink (only the Clintons are more depraved in that regard). ;)

Technically, Ivan, this lowlife is not a Kennedy, his aunt Ethel married Robert the Dead.
Kennedy hagiography:
St. John the Martyr (or Divine)
Robert the Dead
Edward the Pretender (once the Young Pretender, but now very much the Old Pretender)
Famous Kennedy Campaign Slogan:
Kennedy in '72
A Blonde in Every Pond

The power of Satan only lasts for so long; Kennedys will get theirs in the end.

C'mon Ivan, that's like blaming Elizabeth for the behavior of her half-sister Mary. Don't mistake me, I think both the Skakels and the Kennedys are below pond scum, I think it's more a case of like marries like, or evil gathers evil unto itself, than anything else.

I regard it as sort of like volunteering to have a curse put on yourself. While the fellow may not have Kennedy blood in him, precisely, the sense of aristocratic privilege he is conveying certainly is Kennedyesque. He's bought into it all, in other words, and picked up the vices of the family his aunt married into.

OK, although I think that the Skakels have an equally false aristocratic sense as do the Kennedys, all by themselves.
It's curious how real aristocrats are often brought up with a serious sense of obligation to go with their privileges, a sense of family honor, and a true patriotism, where the arriviste riche such as the Kennedy and Skakel families put on what they think are the trappings of gentlemen culled from bad 1930's movies about a British aristocracy that exited only in caricature.

Doubtless you've seen this one:

Once, just once, I would like to see a Kennedy get convicted for somethingSo would I. But I bet he walks. The Kennedy clan has always had a big checkbook open to help someone somewhere decide favorably for their relatives (It has always been said around here that Teddy Kennedy went free because the family of Mary Jo was paid off in spades...)

Like he bragged to his friend, "Kennedys always get by with it".
Guess we'll have to update it to "Kennedys, Clintons, and Daschles always get by with it")
* Daschle refuses reveal he and his wifes joint income tax return because she rakes in the buck$ lobbying in D.C. for "Special Interests' that are 'trick-or-treating' Congress, even at this very moment.

I have this "sick" feeling that Skakel, as with the Kennedys, are going to walk on this verdict.....no hard evidence.

They even called the teen girl that the other kennedy ( the one who died on the ski slope) was raping as a witness for this Skakel trial. They are a sick bunch, each and every one of them.

Double-Dog, is there one straight juror on the case?
Maybe we can, please Jesus, at least get a hung jury, another trial, and Norwalk can have the ongoing tourist attraction it has always needed to boost downtown re-development.
I see The Kennedy Klan showed up en masse with a priest (hopefully not obviously gay) attached to their collective hip. Nice touch. Now, I expect a rosary to accidentally fall from Mickey's suit pocket during his spirited summation.
By the way, how did a family as dumb and ugly as the Skakels ever make all that money?
