My apologies if this has been posted before.
Follow this link to Sign Electronic Petition to ARM PILOTS petitiononline.com
This petition has been a coordinated effort between the Airline Pilots Security Alliance (APSA), the Allied Pilots Association (APA), the Southwest Airline Pilots Association (SWAPA), the Coalition of Airline Pilots Association (CAPA), and the Independent Pilots Association (IPA).
We are at war on American soil. This should have been a Call to Arms to ALL law abiding citizens. What has gone wrong in the thinking of Americans that we now allow unscrupulous freedom-hating politicians, (both Democrats AND Republicans), to deny us our constitutional freedoms? Where are the millions upon millions of MEN across this country who should be openly strapping on their sidearms,(as is their constitutional right), telling these odious men on both State and Federal levels what they can do with ALL their unconstitutional laws, and forcing these arrogant freedom stealers to operate within the confines of the constirution? Wake up men! These despots will NEVER "give" our freedoms back. Freedom will have to be taken back.
Where indeed. I don't suppose the blind FR worshippers at the Bush shrine can bring themselves to sign a petition which is in opposition to their hero's position.
My son is a commercial airline pilot and I want him to have the right to defend himself and his passengers. As it stands now, the government will shoot down his plane and hundreds of passengers with an air-to-air missile if it is hijacked, but he can't have a gun because he might hurt someone with it. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense doesn't it?
I guess it's Mineta's position rather than Bush's--at least I hope so!
But you are right; there are many Freepers who will throw a tantrum at the slightest criticism of any of the administration's actions. I have seen posts defending the unconstitutional CFR--not the act of signing it, but the unconstitutional law itself!--so I guess we can be glad this thread hasn't been flooded with angry posts questioning the usefulness of the Second Amendment......:-/
Nor do I see any contradiction. We were just speculating that some people might. Anyway, I hope most Freepers are smart enough to know that they don't make any negative statement about the President by opposing the views of a stupid Clinton appointee!
