FReeper Sleuths! Gary Condit and the Mystery of the Chandra Levy Pinky Ring! "Police believe this missing tiny pinkie ring could be the key to solving the Chandra Levy murder case. A gift from her mother, Susan in 1998, it was one of the 24-year-old Bureau of Prisons intern's most cherished possessions and her family has said she wore it constantly. The 14-carat gold ring was bought for $416 and has two diamond chips and the initials "CL" inscribed. But it was not among the personal items found during the extensive police search of the wooded hillside in Rock Creek Park where Levy's remains were discovered last week, Washington police spokesman Joseph Gentile said yesterday. " After doing an exhaustive search of my own image archive, I could only find one image where Chandra is shown wearing a ring (below left). This ring happens to be on her ring finger and NOT on her pinky as has been reported in the press. Certainly, it may be a different ring, but it might just be the one described above and pictured below. So what gives FReepers? Can any of you find an image of Condit where he is wearing a ring on ANY of his fingers? There is your mission! (BTW, yes, I spell Pinky with a "y") |
Correct!
(With Denzel Washington, Annette Bening, Bruce Willis,...)
I've never seen this movie.
It was on T.V. Sunday.
Happened to 'click' on it in passing after watching 'Nero Wolfe'.
Just heard some comments and went elsewhere.
I'll have to rent it for the weekend.
Have you seen it?
Comments?
IMHO.......?...just maybe, there may be a 'connection'.
Any FReeper thoughts on my,...'MIG'?
I do/will 'consider' recommendations though.
:-)
Happy Hunting!

Better conspiracy scenarios I've seen:
Chandra, a journalist, discovered Condit dirty dealings, perhaps in the Intelligence area. She checked his schedule and tracked a certain bill on the web that morning. Foolishly she requests a "last meeting" public, but quiet place to meet him and confront him - or Gary suggested it. But the Mansion was closed that day...and Condit's aide was waiting...
Chandra knew something about the phony California energy crisis and Condit's complicity. Condit went to Cheney for help with Chandra, he said no. (or was it yes???)
...
How the movie fits in with any of the facts of this case, I don't see. How about this theory:
Chandra was too nice to the creepy guys she worked and worked out with. One wanted a last meeting to end the torture of her playful, dismissive retorts to his idea about a relationship. He sets up a phoney alibi about being out of town, proven with receipts he got before and after he rushed back to DC to do his job. Condit? the unluckiest cheater in the world.
Thanks again.

I don't know if there 'is' a connection!
Haven't 'yet' seen the movie!
??...How many, and which "Alphabet-Agencies" are mentioned in the movie?
??...ANY......'connected' with Chandra that she,......shoulda,....coulda,.....woulda,.....'identified' with?
??......What 'role' might she have 'played' in the film?
I plan to get the film this weekend.
IMHO........."Just 'fishing' for idea's".
Thanks,
m
Chandra was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Crime of opportunity most likely.
I maintain that people living high-risk lifestyles must be aware: there are consequences.
Have you ever seen the two of them not together?
Dayton was Condit's lover, and murdered in a fit of jealousy.
Chandra didn't receive a phone call that last day. She received a text page on her phone:
"Meet me at Klingler Mansion. 6:00 p.m. GC."
The problem is that Dayton sent the page.
(Unless the page read: "meet me at Klinger mansion." This would explain why she surfed to Klinger, to make sure she didn't have to go to Toledo.)
