Dear Stephen,
My name is Rich and I post as "Registered" on the FreeRepublic.com website. We have been discussing an issue that I believe you can help us with because it concerns an image that you took of Congressman Gary Condit. I know you remember the image well, the one where he was trying to '"karate' chop'" you? :-)
The thread where we are discussing the image can be found at the link below:

The reason this has peaked our curiosity is the fact that your image shows Condit with a ring on his pinky. I have searched every image that I could find of him wearing a ring, there is not one that can be found, except for your image. This relates to the fact that the Washington Times reported initially that Chandra Levy's ring was found with her skeletal remains in the shallow grave at Rock Creek Park. Now subsequent reports have stated the ring was missing. The news outlets have been reporting this ring as a "pinky ring" , however we have done a search and the only ring ever shown in any Chandra Levy photo was on her RING FINGER. So, it is possible that this ring could fit on the pinky of a man...named Gary Condit. Therefore, if the ring was indeed found with Levy's remains as was initially reported, and if Condit had the ring on his finger in July or August of 2001 when you snapped that great photo, then this may be an indication he had knowledge of her "whereabouts".
Knowing that you are the photographer of this image, I thought that you may have a much higher resolution image that may show more detail than what has been posted in the above discussion thread.
Can you help?
Best Regards to you.
Rich

But what about the e-mail she sent to her parents 5/1/01 around 10:30 a.m. (I think it was.)
The parents have never questioned that it might not have been from her.
Ramsey said police recovered most of a skeleton, articles of clothing and personal effects, including a size-8 running shoe, a sports bra and T-shirt, that led them to believe the body was that of a woman and could be Levy's. Investigators had believed the remains were those of Levy even before the dental match,
because one of the items found near the skeleton was a gold ring engraved with the initials "C.L.," the Washington Times reported Thursday. The ring was found in a shallow grave with some of the remains, the Times quoted a law enforcement source as saying.
Did they not know what they were talking about? Was it another ring?
"May 22, 2001 Chandra Levy's remains were found on a wooded hillside in Rock Creek Park by a man walking his dog..."
"The body was identified from dental records. Investigation at the scene produced Chandra's ring bearing the initials "CL". [Emphasis mine.]
The Chandra Levy Chronology (Rev. #9)
They found a ring bearing CL initials.
The 14-carat gold ring was bought for $416 and has two diamond chips and the initials "CL" inscribed.
But it was not among the personal items found during the extensive police search of the wooded hillside in Rock Creek Park where Levy's remains were discovered last week, Washington police spokesman Joseph Gentile said yesterday.
Interesting...hmmmm.
I have similar thoughts about the night she was last seen. Apparently no one saw her or spoke with her again. I believe it was only 8:30PM when she left the gym.
Where did she go?
How did she get there?
What did she do?
What about her internet activity that evening?
It's kind of hard for me to believe she just went home and went to bed. It was too early for bed and she had just done a workout. She should have been energized; not sleepy.
Other than computer activity on the morning of May 1, what indications are there that she ever made it home from the gym?
If she had a "Sent" folder that kept copies of all her emails, it would not be difficult to 'forge' an email to her parents. Most people have a certain style they use in email and it can be different styles to different people.
However, if her computer didn't have copies of emails previously sent, it would not be so easy.
Investigators had believed the remains were those of Levy even before the dental match, because one of the items found near the skeleton was a gold ring engraved with the initials "C.L.,"
WHY WOULD THEY MAKE SOMETHING LIKE THAT UP? What if it had not been her? Her poor parents.
You're right,Something DEFINATELY STINK!!!! Article was copyright UPI Aren't theynusually reliable?
