Psalm 56
1 Be merciful to me, O God, for men hotly pursue me;
all day long they press their attack.
2 My slanderers pursue me all day long;
many are attacking me in their pride.
3 When I am afraid, I will trust in you.
4 In God, whose word I praise,
in God I trust; I will not be afraid.
What can mortal man do to me?
5 All day long they twist my words; they are always plotting to harm me.
6 They conspire, they lurk,
they watch my steps,
eager to take my life.
7 On no account let them escape;
in your anger, O God, bring down the nations.
8 Record my lament;
list my tears on your scroll -
are they not in your record?
9 Then my enemies will turn back when I call for help.
By this I will know that God is for me.
10 In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord , whose word I praise-
11 in God I trust; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?
We come to You in praise and adoration, glorifying Your Name. We want our words, our thoughts, and our actions to be pleasing in Your sight; but we fall so short of the mark. We must join the tax collector who cried out “God, have mercy on me, a sinner.” It is through Your mercy and Your grace that we are saved. We praise Your Holy Name.
Lord, we thank You for raising up a leader at this time who knows You and seeks Your will. We lift up President Bush, asking that You lead and guide him. Grant him wisdom, strength, courage, and discernment; increase his faith daily, Lord. He is beset by enemies on all sides, Lord. Protect him from all those who wish to harm him, by either word or deed. We pray for Laura, the twins, and all their family; keep them safe, Lord, and renew them daily that they may provide the loving support that the President needs from his earthly family.
Lord, bless those who serve in our military, who are risking their very lives for us. Give them comfort and peace and let them feel Your presence as they go about their dangerous assignments. Encourage their families who wait at home for their loved ones to return. Lord, our hearts cry out for Israel; bless her and keep her.
Heavenly Father, we are distressed at the things we see in the world around us – the evil that seems to prosper. Give us the courage to stand up for what is right and to truly be soldiers of our faith in Your service. Show us Your will, Lord, and embolden us to act rather than simply to complain. Revive our nation, O God. Send Your Holy Spirit across our land to speak to the hearts of those who have turned their backs on You. Awaken America again so that she may once again be one nation, under God. In the Name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
We praise You, O God and we acknowledge You to be the Lord. Heaven and earth are full of Your glory and majesty. Day by day we magnify You, and we worship Your Name forever, world without end. For You alone are worthy of blessing, and glory, power, honor, and praise. Save Your people, Great God and bless Your heritage. Govern us and lift us up forever.
We ask that Your peace would surround President Bush as he continues his work, Father. We ask that You would rid away tyrants and still the noise and tumult of people who do not speak Your truths. Shield President Bush from those who are so engrossed in group think that they have no idea what Your truths contain. Scatter the leaders of those that secretly devise mischief, and bring the dealings of the violent to an end. Cast down the unjust from positions of authority and subdue the haters and evil-doers. Open the eyes of the Europeans to understand Your truths about terrorism, about nuclear energy, and about how they should live. Father, so many of them are operating under a cloak of lies which they seek to perpetuate. They are not interested in the truth. Please change their hearts, open their eyes, and give them productive ways to spend their time on this earth.
Give wisdom to President Bush, Father. Let Your truth be known to him in every situation he encounters. Give him advisers who will seek Your wisdom daily. Let him not be deceived, especially by those whom he trusts. Thwart the devil’s plans to derail the agenda you have set before our President. Where he has strayed from Your desires, please guide him back. Father, help him to do all things through You as You strengthen him. Convict his heart to please only You, for You are his keeper. Let him not fear what man may do to him.
Steel Your prayer warriors against the onslaughts of the evil one, God of our defense. Come in Your everlasting power and glory into the hearts of Your remnant. Bring unto us a new sense of commitment to You and to raising up our nation and its leaders for Your blessing. Send forth Your Holy Spirit into our hearts that our prayers may be guided into a fragrant offering of worship toward You each day. Thank You, Father, for Your wonderful answers to our prayers, and for sending forth Your highest blessings for our nation and our President. Edify those who pray here that we may honor You in all ways, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

Thank you for watching over our president as he travels, for the shield about him that You are to him. Keep the full armor upon him, Lord. Guard his family and loved ones, I pray.
I ask that you bless the United States and that a great awakening come to Your church. Help us to be who we should be in You, and so be Your hands and feet on earth. Fall upon us O Spirit of God. Spread Your light and make us lights in the world.
Be with the nation Israel, Lord God. Strengthen them, and protect them. Let your Eye be always upon them and your message be in their ears. In the Name of Jesus...

Heavenly Father, I worship You my loving God who sits enthroned between the cherubim. I love and adore You.
Father, I pray for the President and cabinet tonite that You will be their guide and that You will give those who know You the mind of Christ in each decision .
Lord, I pray for our military tonite that You will surround them with Your angels to help them in their fight against evil.
I pray for Christians in America that You will revive them through the Holy Spirit's power and annointing.Be with us here as we pray and help us to discern Your will in prayer. We bind Satan in the authority of Jesus in each pray-ers life here. Please allow the Burnhams to come home I pray in Jesus name, amen.
