Hmmm. Does evidence for campfires (as opposed to natural fires) predate tools?
Does evidence for campfires (as opposed to natural fires) predate tools? Good question, I don't know. However, I imagine that the earliest campfires were probably indistinguishable from natural fires. In a real sense, according to my hypothesis, the earliest campfires were natural fires.
