May 28, 2002 -- WASHINGTON complains about deceptive corporate accounting. But the government last year misplaced an incredible $17.3 billion because of shoddy bookkeeping, or worse.
Let me put that into numbers so you can fully appreciate the amount. It's $17,300,000,000 - the price of a few dozen urban renewal projects, a nice size fleet of warships or about half the tax cut that everyone made such a fuss about last summer.

You are right. The Lib-Dem-Soc-Commies put all their trust in government and despise corporations. But the Lib-Dem-Soc-Commies are nuts! Because at least there are no corporations who can force me to buy their "services" by threatening me with guns, tanks, fines, and imprisonment. If I do not like a corporation's product, it's easy--I just don't buy their stuff. With government, I have no choice. I have to pay for their stuff or risk my life and livelihood in consequence. Is it time for "American Revolution, the Sequel"?

Man, when I get upset, I mistype like crazy. "Controvesial" should obviously be "controversial".

As a space advocate, I salivate to think what could be bought for that $17 Billion a year. A Lunar Base by 2019 to commemorate the Apollo 11 landing. A Mars expedition which would plant our seed on that water rich planet. Lay the keel for the starship Enterprise! A Hilton Hotel in LEO like the one portrayed in 2001 A Space Odyseey!
Sure would be money better spent for all mankind!

Well I've just sent a bit of email to Jim Rob concerning this. If you have any reason whatsover for your actions here tonight, why don't you let me know either here in public or via email.
Cheers,

17,400,000,000 is what percent of 2,000,000,000,000?I think it is about.087%, or just under 1%.
On the other hand, I couldn't say that my math is written in stone, as my Visa is 300.00 over the 1000.00 limit.

Ahhhh, nothing like Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP).
No discrepencies every time.
To: Beau Schott
And from the replies on the thread it appears that I'm the only one who recognizes it.
GAAP is the SSDD that will SUITE!

I have wondered if we could find out what special projects that Joey JINO LIEberman is the senate sugar daddy for.
Then check on those projects and the governmental agencies that are responsible for these special projects to see how they have Enronned the American Taxpayers for years, if not decades.
Then, see how many times Joey JINO LIEberman or which rat in the senate you are looking at has increased the federal budget to keep this Federal Enron going to $crew/Enron American taxpayers even more without any fiscal responsibility.
Of course the guy in charge of the GSA was a former top partner of Arthur Andersen, and some of the audits under his control have been very shaky audits in the tradition of big government combined with the AA approach to creative accounting.
