Peacenik Jew Marries Arab (Adam Shapiro Barf Alert)

Peacenik Jew Marries Arab

ontroversial Brooklyn peace activist Adam Shapiro married the "enemy" yesterday.

Shapiro, a Jew who has been an outspoken critic of the Israeli invasion of the West Bank, tied the knot with longtime love Huwaida Arraf — a Palestinian peace activist from Detroit.

The couple — he is 30, she is 26 — were married in a Catholic ceremony at a Detroit-area church. The location was kept secret because Shapiro and his family in Sheepshead Bay have received death threats from angry Jews. More than 200 people attended the nuptials.

Shapiro traded his trademark grubby T-shirt and bandanna for a black tuxedo. The bride was radiant in a full-length white gown. The newlyweds met while working for a group that promotes cultural understanding between Jews and Palestinians.

The Shapiros, who live in Ramallah, will be honeymooning in the war-torn West Bank.

Who cares about this piece of human refuse and what he does with his miserable life?

I do. Do you mean to say that you do NOT want to keep tabs on the comings and goings of terrorists and other individuals posing a threat to civilization?

She apparently doesn't understand that as soon the Muslim Palestinians have completely free reign in the West Bank, any religion except their brand of Islam will be forbidden. And as for Shapiro, he will have served his usefulness and will no longer be welcome at that time.

Neither of them may understand your points now (and then again, they just might), but I wouldn't underestimate these cold-blooded opportunists' instinct for the main chance. They'll just convert to Islam, when the time is most opportune.

LOL!

Somehow, I doubt the reporter made that statement with tongue in cheek.

Maybe if they ever have a marital spat they will blow each other up and that will be the end of it. This guy sounds like a LOSER anyway.

Meaning she'll be treated better than every Palestinian wife he claims to defend.

The Gesellschaft für Rassenhygiene is most pleased.

Excellent use of the ironic Nazi reference.

A lot of Palestinian Christians have fled the country. Indeed, the number of "muslims" in the US is inflated because some assume that every Iraqi/Iranina/Palestinian/Egyptian/Lebanese immigrant are Muslims. Many are Christians, often Orthodox, or Marianite Catholics.

Thanks for an important insight.

I thought of another scenario. These two, since they are famous (or "infamous", take your pick) may be allowed to have "freedom" of religion and be left alone because it suits the Palestinian Authority's goal of demonstrating how "even-handed" they treat Jews and Christians in areas under there control. Of course, this is nothing but a smokescreen -- the ordinary people do not have any such rights, just those privledged to be in the good graces of the regime.

Excellent point. Those Christians who have lived with and seen the fundamentalist Muslims and who then fled to the US will be a great ally to us, for they know the evil first hand.

I'm thinking, Joe Farah.

My understanding is that they must also undergo a church-approved nuptial training and that the non-Catholic must also promise to practice Catholicism, in addition to raising the children to be Catholic.

However, a bishop can make an exception to any or all church requirements, and in the US frequently does. IOW, the catechism as concerning Catholic marriage has become an optional afterthought.

I suspect the bishops have rubber stamps for those exceptions nowadays.
