I don't need "Bono" (not his real name) dazzling us with how Africa is "hurting." I know that. Their leaders are corrupt.
Speaking of a transition of Russian-American relations out of the "Post Cold War" era. Iranian nuclear program won't get in the way of larger issues.
Methinks Putin nailed down the promise of eight billion dollars that the Iraqis owe Russia.

To my fellow South Dakotans and other concerned Americans,
The United States of America is the greatest nation in the world. That greatness springs from the principles that founded our republic more than 200 years ago, stated so well by Thomas Jefferson in 1776:
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." - The Declaration of Independence
Defending the life, liberty and private property of our citizens--that is the primary purpose of our government.
The Constitution of the United States was written and enacted to clearly and unmistakably spell out what the duties and responsibilities of the federal government are, as well as clearly defining its limits--The enumerated powers describe those limits in words that any citizen can understand.
But for too many years now, liberal politicians in Washington, D.C. have willfully ignored or twisted these basic truths--By allowing and promoting the practice of abortion--By passing laws that clearly infringe on the liberties contained in the Bill of Rights--By undertaking national control of education, health care, and a myriad of tasks best left to local control or private enterprise--By enacting a tax code that is invasive, counterproductive and unfair--And by regularly ignoring the Tenth Amendment:
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
These elected officials--currently led by Tom Daschle and the Daschle Democrats--have, in my opinion, forfeited their right to lead. They have abrogated the oath they took upon entering office to uphold and defend the Constitution. And so now the time has come to remove them from power through the means provided for in our founding documents--Elections.
That is why I have decided to challenge Senator Daschle in 2004.
I am completely dedicated to the principles of life and liberty-And I am ready, willing and able to defend them on any platform in America; and, Lord willing, in the United States Senate.

On FNS, Britt brought up DassHole's comment and asked Rep. Porter Goss whether such a comment by the Senate Majority Leader is accurate. Goss: "I don't think he has a leg to stand on."
I think we will find that Tommy screwed the pooch yet again!

I forced myself to watch it. Tommy D. is especially smarmy this morning. I can't believe that anyone watching him today would fall for that fake sincerity. He was especially despicable in accusing the VP and President of being liars. The chickens will come home to roost after this one. Pubbies should come out with all rhetorical guns blazing in the coming week.
