Lol, I have a Sousa CD. As a kid, the school would play John Philip Sousa over the PA system during lunch. It must have become engrained in my head.

My pop was career military and often when he was home would wake us up with Sousa
Spent alot of times at parades...great music..brings back lots of memories...thank you

Sousa and other patriotic marches are available
here. This is by the USAF Heritage band. Other music by our armed forces bands is also online.
What a shame the hollywood vampires want to extend copyright duration to where we will never be able to access our current artistic heritage as e are able to access this.

I love listening to Sousa especially on patriotic holidays. I wish more marching and concert bands today (high school, college) played more Sousa.
Last year I took my family to see the musical El Capitan, for which Sousa wrote the score. He and his lyricist did some Gilbert & Sullivan-like light comic operettas. We enjoyed it.
