1700 acres???? Either the DC police are worthless as tits on a boar hog... or the body was put there after they searched.
Remember... the body could have been put there a couple weeks after they searched and it would still be almost a year laying there.
I am a woodsman and not just a city slicker when I say this. I have also participated in searches like this. We combed the ares with a fine tooth comb.

Saw a reporter on MSNBC who has been on this from the beginning. She said Chandra would not go jogging by herself, she was scared to which is why she joined the health club. She didn't believe the story that she was randomly attacked while jogging in the park at all.
I keep hearing that she was in a shallow grave too, yet some stories don't mention that.

Do you know what combing an area means? Do the DC police? Is that where one strolls around nonchalantly while running a dinglehopper through one's hair?

Where on earth did you hear that the Levy's said that? I heard some so called expert say that on television, but not the Levy's. In fact, the newsreader even scoffed at the suicide theory when the "expert" said that.

Fred, how do you know that Condit didn't do it? Gee, that is hard to say! Try repeating that 10 times real fast! :) Of course, I have no idea who do this, but I do suspect Condit is involved, so I wonder what you know that I don't?

Get off it. No one would hide a body for a few weeks and then plant it.
No way in heck.

Lo and behold, who do I see commenting on the Levy case tonight on Fox News? John Kasich John Kasich is on the FOX news staff.

Fred, how do you know that Condit didn't do it? I put myself in his shoes. There is no way or benefit to him for Chandra to be murdered. It's that simple.

Fort DeRussy is in Hawaii, right next to Waikiki Beach. It's WWII museum now. Is there another one in MD? It's inside the District of Columbia, actually. Fort DeRussy was only one of a ring of small earthenworks forts that surrounded Washington, D.C. during the Civil War.
When Jubal Early attacked Washington, D.C. in 1864, his attack fell on Fort Stevens whose left was guarded by Fort DeRussy.
Today, Fort DeRussy's formerly open fields of fire are completely reclaimed by woodland and trees grow out of it's earthen parapets.

I realize the park is very, very large, but that still doesn't explain why a dog didn't pick up the scent of a rotting corpse. After all, it was a dog that sniffed out the skull and I would think a skull would emit less odor.

I don't quite understand your reasoning. I would think that if she were threatening to expose him, that would have been a reason for him to get rid of her. Let's face it, Condit was into some real weird stuff, not just having affairs. If all of the stories are true, this is much more than that!
You should have heard some of the local Sacramento radio talk shows I did last summer with those who know him! Wow!
To: ladyinred
He didn't do it.
No doubt, he's a sleazeball, but he didn't kill Chandra Levy.
To: Fred Mertz
Just one more thing, since when does one have to benefit from killing someone?
That really confuses me! Don't people just lose it sometimes and murder because they feel trapped or threatened or angry, etc.?

I'm glad we've got that settled;^)

Please keep in mind that recent finding down south where the mortuary was stacking bodies outside and all around becuse they couldn't get the crematory working. No one complained of that smell.

GREAT... now we'll have it wrapped up in no time! The RESULTS: Homicide, can't rule anyone out at this time, and cannot really rule anyone in, as well... I think you've got it Dr. Watson... I think you've got it...

I know what you mean but I am from the Ozark woods and it can't be as big or as bad as that and we searched better than all that. Do you know what combing an area means? Do the DC police? Well, to tell you the truth, I know next to nothing about combing a wooded area.
I grew up in South Florida and my stomping grounds were the Florida Everglades. Never had any experience using hound dogs out there. The gators would eat 'em. :-)

Could that be because they were embalmed? Just asking...
