This just goes to show how little we really know about the complex biological life all around us. This flies in the face of what is taught in biology and psychology classes today (or at least, when I had them in '97). Truly amazing...

I've "quenched" a few, plus I haven't seen any Platypus shows lately...

but I knew there was an incongruity...

and as you mentioned they are the only mammals that lay eggs!
