Along the Kansas-Missouri border, we hear the warnings and get the lawn chair, a six pack of barley pop, and sit out on the patio with the binoculors, justa waitin'....

Dixon is where it was! We miss El Charo, but Cueva's resturant is a great replacement.

It's awful windy in Las Vegas today.
Not much in the way of rain or funnel clouds though.
Gotta make sure my tomato plants are watered so they don't dry out.

The crop reports haven't come in, but hail shredded one of my calas. Irrigated heavily Sat-Sun, since there was no prediction of rain early this week. After irrigating, it started raining, and now it rained cats and dogs, again. The crops should be turning a nice yellow in a few days.

There are tornadoes in the Central Valley all the time, but they tend to be F0 to F2 at most - not F5 monsters like the Midwest gets. The temperature differential between cool Pacific air and hot Valley air is nowhere near as great as that between the Arctic and Gulf air masses.
North Orange/South Los Angeles counties are also a "tornado alley".

We had potential looking tornado fronts pass over Napa county from about 11:30 am to about 1:30 pm today.
The fronts were heading east towards Woodland and Sac..
Stay safe and alert.

Thanks for posting this. Accuweather is the best and most accurate weather predictors these days. Last night they were predicting thunderstorms in the early pm in these areas.
I'm really glad that "I woosed out" and didn't go shad fishing on the Sac at Verona or the America east of Sac.. as I had planned for today!

I have GOT to start wearing my glasses at the computer. For a moment there, I thought it was a joke headline "TOMATO Warning"!!! (Laughing at myself...) Gee, wasn't there a movie about that once?

The Tomato warnings for that area will come later this summer when illegal aliens drive the double trailer tomato haulers. They get paid by the load, and they have to be the most dangerous drivers in the state of Kali.

I don't know where he's from but I do know that he lives in Sacramento now. Just one more reason to root for the Lakers. That, and the poisoning of Kobe Bryant by some cow-bell waving knucklehead Kings fan.

Sorry for not warning you folks, I was unable to get on here until now. When I saw the supercells, complete with wall clouds and even a funnel cloud, heading northeastward from where I was at (San Mateo County) I knew this was pretty much a done deal, not a matter if if, but where and when. To those who think this can't happen here, all it takes is a late season storm like this, what with the mountains stirring up the air on the lee sides, 14 hours of daylight and some windshear, well, not much more required to make a few twisters....

You can kiss my cow bell buddy!!!
