The authors basic premise is wrong...AmeriKans have and continue to vote for "socialism" every time there's a voting cycle. That's why we have a Welfare State that keeps on getting bigger and bigger.
This has been the case for 50 years or more and will continue. How else can you explain the Dems and RINOs that continue to pass programs that are purely social in nature, yet continue to get re-elected?
