Thanks Flyer. I don't know what the difference is but I put the flag back up and the idiot box didn't come up this time. Now if I could get rid of that poll they put up the day they changed FR I would be even happier.
I tried to find the place to turn off the state message box and couldn't find it on the top right of my page. I have WebTV and maybe it doesn't show up with my browser.
I wish that "idiot box" wouldn't come up automatically. The first time I saw it, some FReeper in my city was saying something unkind (and untrue) about my side of town. To heck with that! I turned the flag off immediately.
Now I just have the US flag flying!! That's OK with me!
