I wouldn't be at all surprised if Daschle refused to abide by the courtesy. IMHO, Mary Francis Berry has a Messiah complex. She appears to believe that this commission is her personal God-given purpose in life, that she is omniscient and omnnipotent as regards the commission. (I wonder why they bother to have other people on the commission with her running it.) She needs to be out of there.

I'd imagine Berry is discombobulated. Tyrants hate to have their control diminished in any way.

And he will deserve it. nice guys finish last. He will finish his first and maybe only term without even getting his nominees to a hearing let alone a vote. Remove 9/11 from the picture and the question is, George who? Maybe he is too preoccupied being President of Mexico to get anything accomplished. He has been a big disappointment.
