My guess that this has been done by one of our friends from 'Islam, the Religion of Peace', after Farah chewed up their spokesman on Hannity and Colmes the other night.

It's up now. It might have just been down for maintenance, or due to a BSOD. If it were hacked, there'd probably have been a defacement or a DDoS.
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
Looks like someone was on the ball. It's back up.
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
Hmmm,I came her figuring the evidence of hacking would be a factual story.

That Microsoft page is NOT necessarily an indication that the web site was hacked.
It's the default page for a new installation of the server software.
Maybe they are installing a new server, or maybe the old one failed and they are reinstalling the software.
On the other hand, considering that it is a Microsoft server, it would be a trivial task for some 14-year-old kid to hack into it.

I am still showing it hacked by the message I mentioned. Are you sure you aren't seeing the version in your cache? Try hitting 'refresh'.

Hmmm,I came her figuring the evidence of hacking would be a factual story. It is labeled a vanity. What more do you want? I just tried to access it, the site is still down.
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
Try YOUR cache. I had that MS page, then refreshed and got the site.
I have not been to the site since I reformatted my hard drive. So I'm getting the real page.
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
The site is back up. I will send them an email and see what happenned.
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
See? See?

Neener neener!
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
It is labeled a vanity. What more do you want? Huh? I wasn't being critical of you,I was making a comment about how WND wasn't to be trusted as a news source.
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
WorldNetDaily.com was down, but WND worked (or maybe it was vice versa). Now they're both down, but "
WorldNetDaily.net" worked for me.

See? See? Neener neener! Don't get your point. I reported the facts. The facts changed. I reported the change. So how is this some kind of victory for either of us?

You need a humor transfusion. Don't be so defensive.

You need a humor transfusion. Don't be so defensive.Actually, if you have been looking at the India/Pakistan threads, it seems very likely that war will be breaking out there this weekend. If so it could possibly quickly turn nuclear, and then bring in Iran, China, and the US. In this situation breaking communications in the US would be useful as a means of sowing confusion. WND is a major source of internet communication, and I was concerned that these stories were linked. Thus my lack of humour. Didn't laugh a lot on 9/11 either.
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
I'm not referring to the article, or the site, or 9/11 for that matter.
I just tried to inject a bit of lightness as comic relief (site's back up, all is ok).
If it bothers you, oh well. It was meant to be friendly.

If it bothers you, oh well. It was meant to be friendly. Not really upset with you, just explaining why my concern was more than casual. I had pictures of this being the equivalent of hearing someone say 'Say isn't that airliner flying right towards lower Manhattan?' on 9/11, and not knowing what was about to happen. The next time some disaster occurs, communications interruptions could be our first warning. Sorry, didn't mean to be so snappish, just more than a little jumpy.
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
We all deal with stress differently. Some (sometimes) joke, others get jumpy.
For what it's worth, on Labor Day last year I saw W at the airport in Green Bay, and my stress level was as high as it's been since I was held up at gunpoint.
As for 9/11, no one came near me in the plant break room as I screamed, cursed bin Laden (yeah, I knew instantly who was responsible), pounded tables and kicked over all the garbage cans.
To: petuniasevan
I knew instantly who was responsibleSo, what did you know, and when did you know it? Why didn't you warn the American people?
LOL!
To: Lucius Cornelius Sulla
LOL! Now you've got it!
