Jimmy Carter...oh yeah, ain't he the loser who was surprised that Brezhnev would move his CCCP into Afgahanistan?

Ain't he the idjit that chose to send a light expeditionary force into Iran to boldly rescue the hostages, but not too boldly, else the Europeans might think we're to belligerentt?

Yes, that's our Jimmy. And, now, I'm supposed to trust his judgement regarding another power-mad butcher?

Nah. The man's a damn fool.

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter Monday urged anyone alleging Cuba may be developing biological weapons to visit Cuba for a firsthand investigation.

Well, OK. If that's the case, Castro and his minions should have no objection to a team of weapons inspectors visiting Cuba. Perhaps several teams -- so all the suspicious places can be examined at the same time.

Perhaps these teams should be allowed to remain on the island for, say, 30 days. It goes without saying that anything uncovered would be transported out of Cuba to a safe site (ANWR comes to mind).

OK Jimmy, put your money where your mouth is. Negotiate this deal for us. Prove you're the peacemaker you always dreamed you could be.

There are many Americans attending the medical school, which is funded by the Cuban government.

Why? Did they flunk out of Hamburger U?

This will be the biggest Potemkin fleecing since Castro unloaded his felons onto a US president during the Mariel boatlift. Can anyone remember which moron president was in office at that time?

Cuba being a communist country with an self appointed dictator does not make them a threat by accusation alone.

Please go on. Was the Cuban missile crisis just a faux pas?

"I asked them specifically on more than one occasion: 'Is there any evidence that Cuba has been involved in sharing any information with any other country on Earth that could be used for terrorist purposes?'

"And the answer from our experts on intelligence was 'no,'" Carter said.

Yeah, as if they're gonna share their intelligence sources with you so that you can give it to Castro.

The only thing Carter could do to redeem himself now would be to bring Elian back home with him. I'm not gonna hold my breath.

He's just the Communist shill he's always been.

I define Carter's failed mission in Iran as the moment I woke from my apathetic and liberal slumber to realize how much I loved America, and how conservative I am in political philosophy. It took a couple of years of watching the world until my inner revolution was complete, the beloved Ronaldus Maxiumus held a lantern which lit my path and stoked the fires of my love for Uncle Sam, our Mother Country.

I owe Jimmy some gratitude for his part in breaking my spell of illusion. Still and all, he's a dipstick worthy of only a sideways glance and half an ear.

"In the welcoming address at the airport when I arrived, your president publicly offered that any person who wanted to come and investigate any allegations concerning this bioterrorism issue would be free and welcome to come without restraint," Carter said as Castro listened in the audience.

Huh? Cuba has a President?

"My presumption and hope is that anyone who does have evidence of this kind will take advantage of this offer," he said.

Only idiots like Carter would be taken in by this Potemkin village tour.
