Rush's ratings are down, and he's got a lot of listeners angry at him. They'll leave too , unless he stops this bashing soon. Perhaps it's too late . I don't know.

Before he married Marta, he was fat hermit, who NEVER went anywhere. He spent his time actually working and doing research. He had a " fire in his belly " ! Then, slowly at first, post Marta, he became less inerested in doing all that, and went out ! Low and behold, instead of poltics, current events, and funny bits, it was " I went here". " I went there ", I had dinner with / played golf with / bought this / bought that ! " That's an interesting observation and I think it has merit. But he's still one of the good guys, and even if he never does another thing, he's still done far more than his share for our side.
I wouldn't worry too much about the criticism. Dubya can handle Rush. Tha man's a born winner. I wouldn't play poker with him.
And I think the bashing and other self-indulgence has caused Rush to lose listeners. I don't listen anywhere near the amount I used to.

If the GOP had 435 seats in the house and 100 seats in the senate and a president who had been elected with an 80-20 margin, they still wouldn't have the balls or the intelligence to try and implement anything that looked like their philosophy. They are too afraid of hurting someones feelings.

You know whats funny about this is that Bush visited with Rush right before the election. They had like a three hour lunch together.

The President is not the Pope!
He is not obligated to toe the line on a constant set of invilable rules.!
It is OK for Bush to be pragmatic, especially if it's for the short term, in order to acheive a majority in the Senate.
If he currently had the majority in both houses do you really believe he would have;
Signed the Farm Bill, as written?
Signed the Bill imposing Steel tarrifs?
signed the Education Bill, as written?

I think it is Rush ensuring that O' Reilly gets off to a slow opening start with his radio program.
Rush will prevail long term, and getting people to wonder why he is questioning Dubya ups the ratings.

Nailed it in one.

So you are saying that if Clinton had not been for the Kyota accord and had not signed onto the international court, that he would have been a good president? There are a few other differences between Dubya and Slick that your rhetorical question overlooks. Has Dubya done anything impeachable? Has he taken money from the Chinese Communist? How about drug dealers? Has he committed perjury? Sexual assault? Rape? Has he made any foreign policy decisions with the intent of hiding domestic scandal?
Bush has yet to be caught in a lie.
Clinton was not just a bad president, he was a bad man.

The reality is we don't control the Senate and our president lost the popular vote. I'm going to cut him slack.

Dubya pulled us out of Kyoto and the ICC. That's worth the price of admission right there. Some trade off, a treaty that would never pass in a million years against,
new unconstitutional education programs,
the start of government takeover of religious charity,
the repeal of the first amendment,
the "Patriot" act,
the new senior citizen entitlement of prescription drugs (right out of the Hillary handbook),
the twice defeated "know your customer rule",
federal takeover of airport security,
trade war starting steel tariffs and protectionism,
amnesty for illegal immigrants,
power grabbing military tribunals
Expanded farm subsidies
and there are probably more I have forgotten to mention.
That is worth the price of admission, if you are a liberal.

You know how the Bush family values loyalty, can you imagine what it would be like if Barbara Bush ever encounters Rush? I hope Marta doesn't hope for an invite to a state dinner-that will have to wait till the next Democrat president.

GWB is wasting EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR in the Education Bill.
GWB is putting the farmers (like Ted Turner) on welfare, big-time.
GWB did not lift a FINGER for Alaskan crude, other than proposing the location.
GWB has yet to make ONE UNIT of the Federal Gummint SMALLER.
Worst, by far, was the Bush/Ashcroft hammering-through of the "terrorist" act--which Jim Sensenbrenner opposed (most conservative Republican in the House after Paul) AND which Russ Feingold opposed (most liberal Dem in the Senate, bar none.)
The "anti-terrorist" bill will be Hillary's excuse for imprisoning ANYONE for "thought crimes."
Sorry, Hacker--there's more to the Presidency than foreign policy, although I will credit Bush for re-discovering the American national interest in that arena.

If POTUS, how would you deal with a nest of rat/snakes and too many RINOs in the Senate and Congress?
GW has to walk a tightrope with these bstrds. McLame=Jeffords=Shays=Rangel. Maybe twenty five cents worth of difference between the whole crew.
Our Country is in deep clinton!

Although there is little comparison, "XXX's time has come and gone" was also said about Jesus Christ.
Rush has a handle on bedrock principles. That's why he is still #1 in the business--and his ability to entertain helps, yes.
I do not always agree with him, and sometimes I have written lengthy nastygrams to him.
However, his time is noon-three Central--and he OWNS it.
You don't.

The short answer is I would stay honest and loyal to my core convictions and those of my supporters who believed me to be a person of character when they invested their time and money in my campaign.

The RINO White House has been marching to the liberal drummer after tossing a few peanuts in the guise of a tax-refund to Republicans. Everything since the tax-refund has been big liberal government which basically wipes out the peanuts tossed to the suckers. After 9-11, the country was ripe for Republican principles and leadership in that direction. All we got was mollycoddling of the real terrorist states responsible- Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. The faggots and Clinton's directives and criminal actions are still around while no stand is taken against the moral corruption and depravities of the liberal agenda. The Senate was lost with a whimper but they cannot use this as an excuse as it now seems that pandering to Jeffords to keep him in the party would have been less harmful than completely selling out the the U.S. of A. to the liberal agenda under RINO leadership. Amazing that Clinton was kept in check by a Republican Congress but the RINOs are now doing more harm in less time than Slick spent at the kitchen sink.
