Well, just one complaint about this article. Anyone who thought that Barbara Bush was a sweet little nothing while she was in the White House just wasn't paying attention. I've known quite a number of forceful ladies like her, and you can recognize them at a glance.

Barbara Bush is one tough lady! She is the heart and soul of that family. May she continue in excellent health & spirits. GHWB too. :-) GWB is mom's son and is not someone to piss off!

In addition to that gorgeous photo, I thought the current photo of her was also quite flattering. In light of her age, and the active life she leads, my own definition of "old age" is really changing.

Thanks for another great article, summer. Barbara Bush is a very strong woman, which one needs to be in order to raise four boys with a husband who travels. I'm a mother of four boys, and I know that sometimes I've felt like a drill sergeant.....When I once read that she is known as the Enforcer, I laughed. What a great lady!
