I wonder if Palestinians (or other reasonable individuals) would equate being called Palis, with those of Hebrew heritage being called Hebes? I suspect that your your editorializing serves little to further your position or cause.

Palestinians (or other reasonable individuals)

This implies that Palis are reasonable. They're not. They're bloodthirsty, facist savages.

First of all, the Jews who lived in Israel before it became a state in 1948 were "Palestinians" and second of all, people just say "Jews" when referring to the Hebrew nation with the shortest term. What makes you think "Palis" is derrogatory? And isn't that the least of their concerns if they are urinating in a house of worship?

would equate being called Palis

No, no, no. It isn't Palis. Singular is palie, and plural is palies. One should never capitalize the first letter - they simply aren't worth it. As for being insulting, how could one possibly insult a palie? Language fails to provide any term that would be as bad as the reality of palie behavior and existence, and the very term "insult" seems to imply that one could somehow find words that were worse than the disgusting reality. No, I'm sorry to say that it is utterly impossible to insult a palie...though trying to do so remains a noble cause.

The original Reuters article was titled Stench Fills Jesus' Birthplace After Siege so it should have been posted with that heading. But as far as using the word "Palis" I agree that that is incorrect since there are no "palestinians" in the first place. Just Egyptians, Arabs, Syrians, Jordanians, etc.

There don't seem to be such a people as "palestinians". Even the murderous homicide bomb making puppet master Arafat is Egyptian. But anyone can prove me wrong by quoting any "palestinian philosophers". Just do so in their native "palestinian" language.

Re: Palis vs Hebes

I don't mean to seem irreverent here, but the Israelis don't much care what we call them - as long as it's FRIEND.

The Jews have their backs to the wall, fighting for their very existance. There are plenty of EU types, VERY PC about words like Hebe, et al. who would cheerfully watch Israel get wiped off the earth. We Americans may bumble a bit but we take our loyalty seriously. The PA, as you know, are not our friends.

Now, what do YOU think is more important?

The thought has crossed my mind, but once I started seeing Palestinians use the abbreviation themselves on other forums, it ceased to be a concern.

I agree; I personally would not have used the term "palis". After all, what would the garden club think?

I would have said "subhuman animal towelheads." That's better, isn't it? Take your PC recommendations to Democrat Underground.

Admire this.

It's my battle flag against the "subhuman animal towelheads". It is not directed at you. Honest. I mean it. Really.
