"...The crux of their movement is Freerepublic.com, a massive forum-driven website where the pseudo-militant grassroots conservatives can convene to pontificate at the virtual podium on the devious workings of government and media..."
pseudo-PING!
(Actually, the REST of her article is much better, and more balanced, than this incendiary quote might lead you to believe, and the fact that this was published by a college newspaper at the ultra-liberal University of Wisconsin is a pleasant surprise.)

Actually the article was fair balanced in my opinion. This was her obligatory hit paragraph/line.

If this is typical of her articles, I would read them.

Thanks for the ping!

I agree with Dog Gone -- this needs to go the SCOTUS and let them rule and then let the Washington Post and LA Times get what they have coming to them. Count me in for a donation! Hope they are forced to not only pay legal bills but damages for bringing what I consider a frivolous lawsuit against FR!

the ultra-liberal University of Wisconsin

I have a relative (by marriage) who did her bachelors and PhD. at UW-Madison.
She now dislikes the place...she became a Republican/Conservative after she left
for a saner environment.
