Gotta love how so many so called "conservatives" now treat Israel as it is part of the USA...No, just one of the free, democratic nations of the world.
And a nation subjected to atrocities against it's people from the earliest time of their existence. And since 1948, surrounded by those who call for it's obliteration.

I believe Israel is a sovereign nation that has a right to defend itself. Its interests, however, are sometimes different than our own.

It's about as free and democratic as Botha's South Africa - a close ally of Israel, as I recall.
The way some conservatives-in-name-only consistently swoon for these herrenvolk "democracies" is quite amusing.
