AN APOLOGY THAT WASN'T
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
May 7, 2002 -- I MUST have missed it. I waited more than a week, sure that I'd see it.
But somehow I must have missed the worldwide outcry against the three Palestinian gunmen who attacked the Adora settlement April 28, on the Sabbath, and killed four people, including a 5-year-old girl as she lay in her bed.
I must have missed Amnesty International's announcement that it was rushing to the scene of this new incident, which it would no doubt characterize as a "massacre." I must have missed Kofi Annan's statement to the United Nations denouncing this surprise attack as the work of "terrorists."
I'm sure I missed The New York Times' forceful editorial, criticizing the baby-killers for their wantoness and depravity. No doubt I missed the leader of Saudi Arabia, Crown Prince Abdullah, making a hearfelt speech condemning this latest outbreak of mindless violence as a "prime detriment" to lasting peace.
I'm positive the world came together and denounced terrorism in the unambiguous language of those who truly understand the nature of this kind of evil.
I just missed it.

i wiWhen the apostle heard what she had said he said, "Who will rid me of Marwan's daughter?" `Umayr b. `Adiy al-Khatmi who was with him heard him, and that very night he went to her house and killed her while she was sleeping with her 5 children. In the morning he came to the apostle and told him what he had done and he [Muhammad] said, "You have helped God and His apostle, O `Umayr!" When he asked if he would have to bear any evil consequences the apostle said, "Two goats won't butt their heads about her", so `Umayr went back to his people.
i copied from a muslim link quoting quoran story here is more
Further, what kind of religion is Islam really? Soon after `Umayr murdered `Asma', he went to her family and mocked them! He was laughing in their faces that he had murdered their mother and that they were powerless to do anything about it! Here is the quote again: She had five sons, and when `Umayr went to them from the apostle he said, "I have killed bint Marwan, O sons of Khatma. Withstand me if you can; don't keep me waiting.

It seems that if we expect the same sort of message from the Kuran as you get from the Bible we are in for a disappointment
