Let me explain my position to you. There are a lot of dangerous people in the Muslim community in America. That does not mean EVERY last one of them is a danger. I am sure there are many who are good citizens.

But, until I hear their leaders publically condemn these acts of terror (without the LOOPHOLES I have found in every condemnation), and as long as these individuals align themselves with these leaders then they are the ones who have chosen their lot. I have not chosen it for them.

Look, there were good people associated with the communist parties. So do you want to go on record as saying how wonderful communism is? Or how you can't paint all communists with the same brush? To me it is all the same.

When I condemn Muslims, I am condemning the community at large and their positions on America etc. It is an individual Muslim's choice to make it clear they do not subscribe to this position and thus exempt themselves from the condemnation they so richly deserve.

BTW, read their "condemnations" carefully. They ALWAYS leave a loophole. It sounds as if they are condemning the terror but to their followers they are NOT! It is a conditional condemnation. As in "it is bad for me to hurt you under these circumstances" (wink, wink... but we all know these are not the circumstances we are under so we all know it is actually OK) I know this is over-simplifying it but I did it so you could understand.

If you knew my background you would not discredit my insights so readily. But that must remain a secret for now. Sorry. (Nothing sinister... just germane to the discussion.)

One more question... how can you justify a people who are devoted to eliminating your way of life? A people who, if they were in charge as is their goal, would eliminate your freedoms you claim you support? How?

I really want to know. I believe in your right to believe what you want as long as there is no harm to me, my fellow man, and to the principles of freedom our country was founded upon. If your beliefs and actions threaten that you have placed yourself in a position as an enemy and must be dealt with accordingly. Comments?

Well I hear where you are coming from, and agree on many of your points. Especially on the silence of most of the leaders. But I still am quite aware of many who believe the Muslim faith, love America, and would never consider aiding in its destruction. And they aren't out trying to destroy my way of life(though certainly some extreme Muslims are). Do I wish they were more vocal? Of course, but many of the ones I know just aren't very political, especially not having been born here. But look around some time, notice that a sizable number of cars in immigrant communities have American flags? (Actually it seems some of the most adament and vocal apologists for ME terrorism are American-born women who became muslim converts, but again that's a broad generalization.) And there is the issue of backlash(especially considering how they may have witnessed more extreme forms of persecution of dissent back in the original countries) that factors into their quiet.

I'm a conservative Christian, yet I know that some CC's if empowered would take away many of our rights. That doesn't mean I support deporting them all as a threat, but rather keeping in check those leaders who would cause problems. I think really we differ on if a Muslim can be true to his religion and a patriotic American. I say yes, you seem to be leaning no. Will have to leave it at that for now, Time to get back to work. Take care.
