"It's men victimizing women for the sake of money and ratings," Jan LaRue, chief counsel of Concerned Women for America told the Associated Press (AP) which cited CWA as one of seven groups, including the Christian Coalition and Focus on the Family, that wrote a letter of protest to Rupert Murdoch, chairman of Fox's parent News Corp. Catholic FYI:
In 1998 Cardinal Mahoney awarded Rupert Murdoch (a non-Catholic) the title of " Knight of the Order of St. Gregory." The pope bestows the title "Knight of the Order of St. Gregory" in order "to acknowledge an individual's particular meritorious service to the Church," based on the recommendation of the local bishop.
In this case, the "meritorius service" consisted of donating $10 million to Cardinal Mahoney's hideous new cathedral which will also include a crypt for Rupert Murdoch.

It's not for us to decide whether it's moral or not By opposing opposition to shows like this you are deciding "whether it's moral or not."

If you don't like it, fine. But this "men victimizing women" stuff is BS. They get paid a lot of dough, and they know what they are doing. Besides, I'd bet that a lot of the so-called victimizers here are women. It sometimes launches million dollar careers and if not it pays them a many year salary. Doesn't sound like victimization when they CHOOSE to do this.

A wholesale rejection of the natural law has created a society of amoral men and women who can't see the error. Light HAS turned to darkness.
Isaiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
A word to the wise.

A word to the wise. It's too bad that many Christians don't read or follow God's Word. Thanks for the post!

That's true. You notice NOW and other 'women's groups' never say much about the porn industry, et al. They are too busy talking about how awful men are to say anything negative about women posing in the buff which encourages 'awful' behavior in men.

And some said it could never happen.

And some said it could never happen.
It's like the new Seven-Up commercial were everyone of diameterically opposed ideologies is holding hands and singing, and then they break out into a big fight.

Do you really thing the GOP can win WITHOUT social conservatives?Nope, but if we could go just a little while without social conservatives displaying their willingness to stick collective noses into other people's business we might have a better chance at winning.

I don't know, but when I am told by society and my own government that I must embrace homosexuality as good, that my kid is going to be taught that it is good in school, and that I should tolerate a gay scout leader taking my son camping overnight in the woods --- I feel a bit like it is THEM sticking THEIR NOSE in MY BUSINESS!
Likewise, when I am forced to pay for abortions when my conscience tells me it is the act of murdering a child --- I feel that is my business too. And frankly, since when is protecting life not everyone's business?
No formal prayer in school? fine. But stop persecuting Christian kids in school. it does happen. It happened to me.
Etc... I personally feel like it is the social liberals messing up MY freedom, not the other way around.
I don't mean any of this in a harsh tone, but with the cap stuff it might read that way. I am just telling you my perspective.

As is their right.

One of the funniest Simpsons episodes I saw recently had Homer and Bart talking about TV. Homer says, "FOX has some really good shows and they never show trashy programs."
Homer looks at Bart and they both start laughing hysterically. How Appropriate!
To: stainlessbanner
Homer: "I'm buying stock in something called NewsCorp."
Lisa: "Dad, thats Fox!"
Homer: "Ahh! Undo, Undo"

I am not only a social conservative, but a paleo conservative, and it would suit me just fine if the GOP stayed away from these types of issues and let literal father and mothers instead of figurative Big Brothers make the calls on these issues. And when I say "make the calls", I am talking about intra-family decisions not laws.

Why do so many people have trouble finding the OFF button when something they dont like is on?
To: RAT Patrol
I agree with you that liberals by far are more active in destroying individual freedom than are conservatives; however, it should not mean that we adopt their tactics and take away the few freedoms that they have not yet succeeded in taking away.
To: DittoJed2
Oh, and I suppose I am not a good conservative because I listen to Howard Stern on occasion?
If you want to be a fuddy-duddy, fine. But last time I checked, freedom existed here, meaning people are free to make their own mistakes. But Brent Bozell is a real jerk sometimes. Bozell does the Lord's work on media bias, but he sure comes across as a Puritan at times.
