Something tells me Hollywood already knows his political leanings. He should have won about 4 Academy Awards by now. He is not a good actor, he is one of the few great actors in America.

His understated style is probably the reason, a lot of the winners play retarded folks and screamers and there is only one on that list that qualifies which is the Dr. Joe Clark role (which I think he was nominated for)
