The fact that he is an excellent actor (who you see in quite a few "colorless roles,..."

I like seeing 'colorless roles' like his POTUS in Deep Impact... it wasn't like, "Hey, I'm a black President! I'm the President -- and I'm black! Look out, whitey, 'cause I'm in charge now!"... He was just a well-played President who happened to be black. Sort of like Glenn Close in Air Force One as a VP who happened to be female, without a bunch of discussion or self-congratulatory fanfare over that fact.

He really was good in Deep Impact, just a good summer blockbuster film but still you know that he adds a touch of class to the proceedings.
