I'm not in the military I asked the ROTC guy about it 2 days after Sept 11 and he said you'll get a REMF job if you join. My Father was a doctor in Saigon but he has been out of the military a long time( and my grandfather was a full Colonel but he died of Polio in 47 while my Father was 6).
