Russian women maybe enchawnting, but if men aren't careful they get more than their hearts stolen. With the fall of the Iron Curtain, not every case of a Western guy meets Russian girl has turned out into a "happily ever aftering" scenario.

I suspect that it's not really that foreign (including American) men who "like" to marry predatory Russian girls. It's that American men, maybe not the kind that are real catches or maybe hoping for a girl with somewhat old fashioned notions, go looking for Russian (and other) girls, who turn out to be predatory. There's a very lively business going on in Russia of purported marriage brokers who tell lonely (and presumably prosperous) American men that they can find genuine blondes and so forth unspoiled by American materialism. The Russian girls themselves are perhaps not so taken with these men as with a free ticket to the US, and once there figure out a way to be spoiled by materialism, possibly by other men. There have been several instances of this, including a Wall Street broker who evidently was coaxed into embezzling accounts by his stunning Ukranian sweetie, and finally took a swan dive from his office window.

I visited the Ukraine last year for several weeks, delivering talks on internet business strategies, and found the women there intelligent, beautiful - and very willing to get the hell out of the Ukraine. In those circumstances, one will always find unscrupulous women that will use any means to flee and fleece the dimwitted.

However, let's compare that to what we KNOW we have here in this country. Need I say more? Well, if you insist...

We have too many women here who look at men as the source of all their problems, who feel that men are stupid, self-centered, chauvinistic and deserving of no consideration when it comes to their own family and their earnings - especially when she finally decides to become "self-actualized". The train-wreck that is our family courts then ensures that men, as a class, are enslaved to women who vindictively turn their kids against their own fathers, and then milk them for everything they can get, even while mom enrolls in yoga and painting classes.

The few men I know that are married to Russian women are ecstatically happy, but veeeery protective of them - in light of the contaminating influence of feminazism on the average female. The only marriage that was not working well was because HE was an obnoxious, abusive jerk who beat her. We moved her and her grandmother out of that house to her own apartment on a local campus - where she teaches cello.

Anyway, the writing's on the wall for too many American men, and they're voting with their feet. Articles like this are typical of the reaction I get when I mention the virtues of foreign women to American women, who are incensed by the implicit competition. But as all good things come to an end, I forecast the end of this loophole. Because when American women discover they're being bypassed, they will pass laws ensuring that "Thou wilt have no godesses before ME." Mark my words.

The biggest problem as I see it: Unless you're looking for girls under 25 or so, there was never enough food in the CCCP for woman to reach what many Americans would see as normal height. It's hard to find Russian women over 35 who're also much over 5' tall.

There was a documentary on Russian prostitution. Many of the girls were young and pretty. They dressed in expensive clothes and ate in fancy restaurants. They could make more in one day than most workers made in one month.

Several were asked their goals. All responded: "To marry a rich American and get out of Russia." The minimum required qualifications:

(1) Be breathing;
(2) Have a wallet and bank account;
(3) Own a home;
(4) Have a passport.

Hey, I think I qualify!

Then they showed some sad, broken-down old women. Probably in their 40's. This is apparently what the young ones become in a few years.

Interestingly, Moscow police routinely arrest underage hookers and place them in juvenile halls or other "rehab" locations. They are instantly replaced by new ones arriving from the boonies, looking to make money to send home.
