Gaza April 24th 2002, By Wafa Political Editor,
The following letter arrived, (unsigned for security reasons) on the Editors desk through the fax from somewhere from Jenin area, which we think it is worthy for publishing for the valuable information it contains.
We were assured that the letter is genuine and it was released from one of the Jenin Camps Leaders.
We are seriously and honestly translating and publishing the letter to provide a real and true vision from the fields of the massacre.
The Political Editor
The letter
The Israeli and the worlds Jews most sophisticated Public Relation experts, activate their skills in salvaging Israel from the swamp of the dirty crisis of Jenin Refuge Camp that loudly reflects to the world another Cross revealing the depth of the Palestinian holocaust caused by Israel.
These clever and well dressed PRs who master many languages, use their skills to fluently address the media in their failure attempts to justify what could never be justified, about a one square mile Refuge Camp that shelters over 15000 inhabitants that were subjected to slaughter, destruction of their houses, violation of their humanity, they were horrified, indiscriminately shelled and terrorized, assassinated and illegally and cold bloodedly executed, their bodies were abused their death was desecrated, many were left to bleed to die slowly, deprived any medical attendance, and when they die their bodies swollen then rot, without any chance of being buried.
How would the PR experts explain the mass death, the collective murder, and the massacre? Some of them arrogantly say that the Palestinian fighters used people as shields, exactly like they are holding the priests and monks as hostages in the Nativity Church.
The Camp is a small populated spot that defends itself confronting an army consists of all the USA most sophisticated weapons, and the idea of hostages is a stupid and ridiculous one, they even say that since 23 Israeli soldiers were killed, so what happened in Jenin Camp is not a massacre it is fighting. This logic is a begotten of racism, hatred and madness. 23 soldiers are equal a whole camp, and to be frank, some of them were killed by their own Apache helicopter random bombardment, which adds to their embarrassment.
There is another sick logic that they are trying to convince the worlds public opinion with, that the Palestinians did not obey the military orders of evacuating the camp prior to the attack. As if the camp was their own and we should comply with their orders as if we did not own the houses and the land, a mentality that has exposed itself, this mentality also carries within itself all the reasons of its collapse.
Resistance is a legitimate right and a sacred one and who ever practices this right, should widely be praised by all because he defends humanity and its highest values.
There must be a malfunction in the mentality of the Israeli and the American PR experts, but first of all and with a great regret, in the mentality of the White House and the Congress, that choose the kind of terror to fight against and the king of terror to fight for, where values and principals turn upside down, so self defense becomes terror and terror becomes self defense. I wonder how can any human being mix values this way? How any one could undermine the human intelligence?
The fact as a whole may remain concealed and the Palestinians tragedy might remain unpublicized, but the question is, for how long the Palestinians will keep paying dearly the high price with their blood while the aggressor and the terrorist stay loose? The issue is not only individuals, because Sharon is merely a prototype of a sadistic ripper that commits war crimes. The issue is related to the Jewish community and the Israeli Jewish public opinion, taking in consideration the unpleasant surprises that may take place here or there.
We think that the events of the Jenin refugee Camp are not to be undermined or taken lightly, because this camp has exhibited to the world a very confusing riddle, to us it is far from being a riddle because we have decided that we shall fight to the end preferring death over humiliation. The citizens of the camp, our people, it was them that granted us the freedom to choose, because they also have defended the camp until their last drop of blood.
At the beginning the invaders believed that it was a picnic and soon all the camp will surrender, but before long they realized that the resistance made it impossible for them to penetrate into the camp, and then they replaced the commander of the mission, they replaced the officers and the soldiers, at that moment we realized that the Israelis have decided to commit genocide and destroy the entire camp by demolishing all of the buildings and killing the entire population.
We were decisive also we have decided to go to the end, we were aware that they have the power that will enable them eventually to enter to the camp, we also realized that they will commit a massacre, we knew that they sealed the area for the press, these acts were enough evidence for us to understand that they will commence the massacre away from the curious camera lenses and without witnesses. We had to expose them, so we used the cellular phones and we used their communication net in order to deliver our story to the satellite TVs all over the world, we had a slight hope that if we can expose them to the entire world they might spare the lives of the refugees of the camp, but we did not develop false expectations, that was our motto If we cannot stop the massacre at least we can expose it
Jenin massacre will be documented like no other massacre was, there are still living witnesses, and there are leaders that lessen their appearance and their talks for their security and safety.
Finally please forgive me for not signing my name or my nickname, but please make this letter published.

Moral of story: don't start up a fight with someone who can kick your ass.
Payback sucks.
Love, Saddam "just stirrin' things up" Hussein
Ha ha?
More Muslim humor?
We all know that muslims generally and "palestinians" particularly never lie or exaggerate.
Right.
Do you seriously believe that that's the end of the matter?
It seems to me that Israel is as unsafe as it was previously, except now it has a worse public image than ever.
Really? No "activists" have activated themselves in any restaurants recently, and there are fewer terrorists breathing.
War ain't just about PR. The people that hated them before have only become more shrill and ludicrous in their accusations. Just like the outpouring of "support from around the world" after 9/11, they only love you either when you're dying or doing what other people tell you to do.
The public image of Israel within Europe has sunk considerably - no great shakes I hear you say, but sanctions on Israel are now a real possibility.
Many undecided people are now publicly stating that Israel is a militaristic state opressing the right of Palestinians to have their own state whilst encroaching on their land with illegal settlements. These are not arch friends of Arafat; ordinary people are saying it.
I hope too that there will be no more suicide bombers, but around a week of comparative quiet doesn't equal end of problem.
I think (hope?) that an isolated Arafat will have a very difficult time rebuilding the terrorism infrastructure and I see no evidence that Israel intends to let him go free. The only objective Arafat had in his meeting with Colin Powell was to be freed, and he got nothing and I think (hope) as the Palestinians dig out from the rubble caused by Arafat's terror Intifada that they turn some of their anger toward their failed leader.
That's okay, because the public image of Europe within the United States has sunk considerably as well.
No, the Israeli people do not have our most sophisticated weapons. You don't want the U.S. engaged in combat with you, you terrorist lunatic.
That's okay, because the public image of Europe within the United States has sunk considerably as well.
That's a pretty facile remark. If Europe slaps sanctions on Israel then juvenile comments will be as much use as a chocolate fireguard.
Israel knows what true massacres are and Jenin was not one of them. They had to do the job of rooting out terrorists that Arafat had pledged to do under Oslo.
For some perspective on history try here.
And I applaud the British for what they did also, BTW.
If the current level of military activity by Israel is continued, and if the isolation of Yasser Arafat carries on as it currently is, then there will undoubtedly be a cessation of all activity in the West Bank. However, it's difficult to foresee a situation where any of the protagonists or onlookers will relish such a status quo indefinitely.

I suspect that Arafat's standing among Palestinians remains undiminished. Whether or not further attacks on Israelis occur is, it seems, largely out of his hands, since remaining activists are unlikely to be sat around waiting.
No doubt we shall all find out over the next few weeks.
Where's the Euro-Force, that valiant brigade (or is it a division now?) of non-NATO European fighting forces? Why don't you all send them in to separate the Israelis and the Palis? Could it be because the Euros would get their butts handed to them by both sides?
No, I'm quite content with my appraisal of European complicity, or at least acquiescence, in Palestinian terrorism. Any day now, we will be able to see the EU representative debarking from an airplane, waving a sheet of paper in his hand, and declaring "Peace in our time".
