I bet there is lots of ammo out there, probably the number #1 leftover. Who knows we may have a chance to use it up soon.

I forgot a leftover we have, a manual pump for our well. We never installed it but felt better having it, still in the box. Price tag somewheres over 600.00. ouch!

Yes, ammo is probably the prime Y2K survivalist leftover, but I am astonished that no one at the time saw the real marketing opportunity.

Sure, ammo is fine, but what happens when civilization has collapsed so completely that there are no more factories producing it ? Won't you then need weaponry with a bio-replaceable sort of ammo ?

In short, crossbows. Crossbows were the ideal #1 Y2k survivalist accessory and no one saw it. Why, instead of dehydrated corn people could have been selling crossbows hand over fist !

Oops. Left off a grain mill and a meat grinder, plus an old fashioned "bottle" shaped sausage stuffer that belonged to my husband's mom.
