What I used to own...1967 Dodge Coronet 440. This isn't it, but it's a good shot of one that was identical to mine. Here's another one:
Rebuilt the factory 318 and transmission - it would stand up and walk when you got into it. We used to take it out on the road between Las Vegas and Reno and open it up - 120 miles an hour and it would ride straight, flat and level, like being on a sled.
Sales guy at one of the local Dodge dealerships offered $5,000 on any vehicle on the lot for the car - turned him down. I miss that car.
My first car was a Studebaker Lark....my "first time" was in its back seat....
Thats the one I was trying to recall the name of a few months ago on another thread. A guy at an auto shop I worked at years ago (during high school) dropped a 426 Hemi in one and it was like a rocket. My old college roommate had a Charger (like the SuperBee) with the 318 and those are (IMO) the best motors they ever made. He sold it before college and bought a Dart with a 318. Deceptively fast. They sure don't make them like they used to, I don't care what they do to it.
