For what it's worth, I'll tell you something my mother taught me about Jews and those who for no apparent, rational reason oppose them. She taught me that if they feel this way about them (the Jews), how do they really feel about you?

I've never forgotten that message.

Yep! When it comes to hatred, and the politicized evil that fans and incites it, the Jews are definitely the "canaries in the coal mine". The attitude you decribe toward the Jews is a virtually universal charteristic of hate based groups all across the political and cultural spectrum.

I have been wondering whether the tilt of the Left towards the Arabs might cause Jewish voters to be more comfortable with Republicans. Right now Jews vote ? 80% Demo, but now that Israel has been mugged as the Left has cheered on they may come to realize who really protects Israel's and their security. Realignment?
