April 20, 2002 -- WASHINGTON - A top Saudi Arabian religious leader yesterday used inflammatory anti-Semitic rhetoric as he prayed for Allah to "terminate Jews" and urged all Muslims to shun peace with Israel.

The hate-filled sermon at the Grand Mosque in Mecca - Islam's holiest shrine - by Sheik Abdul-Rahman al-Sudais was not endorsed by the Saudi government, but it was carried live by several Arabic TV and radio networks.

I'm not surprised either. And this is what's going on on their state-sponsored television--I can only imagine how rabid the anti-semitism is in the mosques and behind closed doors. What is comforting is that the Jew-hating is being exposed and written about.

What is comforting is that the Jew-hating is being exposed and written about.

Very true. But you know what I've noticed lately? Much attention has been given to the Left and its fierce support of the so-called Palestinians and their vitriol against Israel, especially Sharon. However, little attention is being given to the Right's dislike of the Jews and Israel.

Just look around FR. It does my heart good to see that the vast majority understand what's going on, and if blame is to be placed, this majority places it where it belongs. But you have some who just cannot for their very lives utter a word of support for Israel, or say one critical word against Muslim terrorism without qualifying it with a "But Israel. . ." or "But the Jews. . ."

A lot of these think they're Christians. But how one can form his or her mouth to say that he or she loves the Lord Jesus Christ and yet sides with Muslims (patriarch: child of the flesh) over the Promised Seed of Abraham beats the heck out of me.

For what it's worth, I'll tell you something my mother taught me about Jews and those who for no apparent, rational reason oppose them. She taught me that if they feel this way about them (the Jews), how do they really feel about you?
