I have no problem with Texas observing Confederate History and Heritage Month or taking pride in her past but be accurate, please. Roughly one quarter of the families in Texas owned slaves in 1860 so considerably more than 2% of the Texas soldiers no doubt enjoyed the benefits of slavery.

You know that's interesting. Roughly one quarter of all blacks in New Orleans owned slaves, not to mention one of the largest slave holders in SC was black, as well as 69 black slaveowners in NC, not to mention those good folks in Charleston. Man!! Just coming out of the woodworks. What's Jesse going to do? He pushes reparations, he'll have to start asking African-Americans if their families were slaveholders or slaves. Whatever happens, don't worry Non, I'll be at the front of the line of the folks making sure that question doesn't come up. We can't let the truth getting out now can we? After 140 years, the myth is so big!!
