I doubt the media will declare this courageous woman a hero as they have done with David Brock. But, there's no left wing bias in the media, right?

I wonder where she stands on gay adoption and promotion in the schools. If she is not in favor of those I could live with GWB appointing her to something. I just don't want the federal government forcing me to be pro-gay. Or, more, my kid.

I suspect that Tammy's days holding her other leftwing views are numbered too.
Once you begin to accept that the left is built from emotion-driven hollow lies and halftruths, all the other liberal ideas begin to crumble too.
You can't be a little bit liberal. It's a package deal. The lies and shallowness of it all will eventually sink in. I predict that within about 10 years Tammy will be an outspoken, heterosexual, conservative Christian.

SUNDAY Q&A: A lesbian takes on the 'thought police'Geoff Metcalf interviews author, feminist Tammy Bruce
"Editor's note: In a compelling talk-radio interview with WorldNetDaily's Geoff Metcalf, author, former Los Angeles National Organization for Women president and self-proclaimed homosexual Tammy Bruce talks about the value of liberty in a country controlled by "the left-wing power elite." Bruce spoke openly about liberals' influence on the media and American pop culture, criticizing the left's hypocritical demand for tolerance..."

Tammy's really straight. She just doesn't know it yet.

Freedom to make 'different' choices is at the heart of America. Also, the freedom to disagree.
I've read her book. I disagree with much she says. But she is absolutely right that the Left primarily wants to SILENCE the conservatives. That's why they attack so viciously. She isn't going to let them silence her. That's good.

I was thinking the same thing.

I am a lesbian, I am pro-choise, and I am a gun owner.
An armed feminist. Now that will give you a shiver.

To label someone conservative in our community is meant to cross a line through that persons nameto associate us with religious fanatics and fundamentalists. Ironically, in all my work I have found that the genuine conservative, who champions the traditional American value of individual liberty, is upholding the values that make it possible for everyone, especially gays and lesbians, to live our lives as we choose. The author needs a course in conservatism... we think homosexuals don't belong in a normal society. She is thinking libertarians (fence sitters), who want a feel good society of anarchy and socialism
I am a conservative and darn proud of it! My God is the ruler of all creation and I answer only to Him.

But she is absolutely right that the Left primarily wants to SILENCE the conservatives. That's why they attack so viciously. The Left knows that when the light of open debate and cordial discourse on all topics ensues, their theories crumble and they are left with using name games to win: mean-spirited, homophobe, woman-hater, anti-choice, etc. They can't discuss ideas on the merits: they always look at motives first. If there are no ill-motives, they make them up (like everyone who isn't pro-choice wants women to be barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen).

When I worked for a Legislator in southern California, we had an active "lavender" section of our district. I found that many homosexuals were gun owners. I think that it's important to work with different constituencies on the issues we agree on in order to accomplish our agenda. The liberals do it all the time -- they build coalitions of seemingly disparate groups in order to advance a common initiative. It's time conservatives do the same thing.
I, like most of my friends here on FR, do not condone homosexuality and I do believe it is a grave sin. However, I don't hate homosexuals. As Christians, we can't, they are still children of God.

"Conservatism" generally implies a belief in limited government and a resistance to rapid change, not religious evangelism or belief in theocracy. To be sure, it's perfectly possible to be evangelical and conservative, in fact the two are positive correlated in the US, and, generally, in the west generally, but they do not have the same meaning.
