What can Biden possibly have to say that he hasn't already stolen from someone else? Why would any program want him on it?
To: johniegrad
Because he's a left-wing windbag who never met a microphone he didn't want to lie into? And, of course, he's running for the democRATic nomination.
To: Alas Babylon!
If Biden then shouldn't Doris Kearns Goodwin be on also?

Where are Gephardt and Daschle...weren't they whining all week that they don't get enough "face time"?

Andrew Card will not answer a simple question from Tony Snow. "Has Arafat been told he must stop the homicide bombings?"
Card's reply, "Arafat has issued a statement in Arabic."
What the hell?

That's a very astute observation. That is exactly how it will be.

Oh stop. Her Majesty would never deign to mix with the rabble at one of these shows. Nor would she consider anything so base as being expected to answer questions posed to her by it.
You have not genuflected before her portrait yet this morning, have you?

Condi Rice keeps saying Powell mission is to call all parties to account. American forces not on the table.Arafat should use what is in front of him to stop terrorism.
To: richwolo
Condi on MTP: "This is an effort to get Arafat to use the mechanisms that have been given him [i.e. the Tenet plan, etc.]"
Timmy asks her about evidence Arafat has been controlling the suicide bombers. "Clearly Arafat must deal with the terrorists & violence in his midst. We've been open about our concerns...Chairman Arafat cannot have it both ways...the President was as clear about that as any President has ever been...to the degree that there is a connection between the PA and terrorism, it has got to stop."

Where are Gephardt and Daschle...weren't they whining all week that they don't get enough "face time"? I think Dash-hole realized that he comes across as sort of a weasel - after his blunders attacking the war strategy and tax cuts, he (IMO) decided he will be more effective keeping out of the spotlight.
As for El Loco Poco Dicko, I don't know - I actually kind of like watching him, because his face always turns beet red when he is on one of his rants.

Condi lauds some of the Arabs in the middle East for helping with the war on terror, but says some could do more (sounded to me as if she was saying that she knew that some of the Arab states were backing the terrorists, but since they are claiming to be our friends, she would give them a small pat on the back for public consumption -- along with that "pinch from Mom" that isn't real obvious to everyone else but tells you you'd better behave NOW...)

Biden was on for WAY too long yesterday...CNN I think. So today he can regurge what he already said. He loves the sound of his own voice. And, no, he's too busy to think of running for president. Leave that business to others. And Joe can't & won't comment on the 'delicate negotiations' w/Arafat. Not till Powell is on his way home. That's it in a nutshell. ;)

No I disagree. I'm going to Church now, but I'll check in about 11:00 CDT. The main reason I disagree is because Sharon was elected by the Israeli people, while Arafat is a self-appointed terrorist. Also, I do see a morale, christian distinction between blowing oneself up around innocent people (kids, women, people celebrating religious feasts) and soldiers fighting in a war. Should Israel recognize a Palestinian state and get out of Gaza and most of the West Bank? Yes, but only if the Palestinians give up, publicly, their terrorsim. That's where I stand.
I'm trying to see both sides here, but it's hard after 9/11. No matter which way I look at it, I can't help but see Palestinians and Al Qaeda in the same light. And after 9/11, Al Qaeda IS the enemy. Without flaming, if you disagree, try to enlighten me. With all due respect, I'm serious.

MY how judgemental you are. You have no idea on how I feel about Hillary. Your judgmental characte just happens to be DEAD WRONG. In the future, please stop shooting from the lip. Or is your blurting a mere "slip of the lip".

Card being the good soldier for Bush. Won't answer Tony directly. Responses are very weak, Tony keeps trying and chuckles as he tells Card that he (Tony) is going to keep asking the same question in a different way.
(Like many FReepers, I'm disgusted with Bush's turn-around (with respect to Arafat) on his September pledge to fight terror. I'm fed up with these continual steps to appease Arafat, to feed his ego, and (with his demand for Israel to withdraw from Jenin and other areas in return for a cease fire) I'm seeing him winning more consessions than he would have only several weeks ago. I want to see us get tough with these terrorists, and be consistent, no matter where they are. My two cents...)
