I guess this is where the Dems get their ideas, speeches and rhetoric. Sounds just like, Gore, Gephardt and friends.

My first post. I hope I did this correctly.

This is pretty sickening reading. I couldn't make myself even read it all. The socialist dream: everyone equal, no private enterprise, everything and everyone under state control. Totalitarianism to promote the "common good."

I think you're right, this is where the dems get their ideas. In fact, alot of it sounds like normal conversation in everyday America. We've come quite a bit further down the road toward the horrors of socialism than many of us realize.

This is what the 'toons and Gore and most of the other dims believe, as well as Tony Blair. It's called the Third Way. Communism was tried and it failed in Russia and China. Now they're working on us.

There are by their own count 52 members of congress who are members of the Democratic Socialist Organization. They have a website out there that lists all their members. You can probably guess the names of a lot of the usual suspects.

Hillary's own particular favorite flavor of communism is reported (by Michael Savage) to be Leninism, in which there is a ruling elite which gets all kinds of lovely perks that the rest of us mere mortals are not entitled to.

Nice post, congrats on a good first one!

>One thing is clear, there won't be socialism in the U.S. until the majority of the American people want it.

Is it at all possible for any other single statement to more clearly show that this clown is lying through his teeth?!

Mark W.

P.S. Good job on the first post!

The socialists are already here in America and are especially thriving on our college campuses.

Democrat Socialists of America

What will be the goals of our socialist society? A life free of exploitation, insecurity, poverty; an end to unemployment, hunger and homelessness. An end to racism, national oppression, anti-Semitism, all forms of discrimination, prejudice and bigotry. An end to the unequal status of women. Renewal and extension of democracy; an end to the rule of corporate America and private ownership of the wealth of our nation. Creation of a truly humane and rationally planned society that will stimulate the fullest flowering of the human personality, creativity and talent.

Never believe a leader who promises utopia.

Renewal and extension of democracy;

What the hell does this double speak mean?

an end to the rule of corporate America and private ownership of the wealth of our nation.

The quickest way for the wealth of our nation to disappear

Creation of a truly humane and rationally planned society that will stimulate the fullest flowering of the human personality, creativity and talent.

The fancier the words, the less they deliver. Here's what socialism (and enviromentalism) will deliver:

A huge class of parasites
No incentive to produce
A government no longer of the people
The end of the united states - this is their real goal

Before the election the CPUSA was a hoot. Did everything but endorse Hillary. Another group to watch is the Working Families Party. They are an off-shoot of the CPUSA and get a lot of financial support from Democrats.

Btw...the CPUSA got one of their members elected to a school board in the Bronx a few years back. He was endorsed by Al Gore's buddies in AFSCME.

Since its inception capitalism has been fatally flawed.

It's not capitalism that is fatally flawed...it's mankind. Anyone ever hear of "Original Sin"?

good first post. exhilirating, huh?

That Socialism and Communism jointly are responsible for over 100 million ruined lives in the 20th century... doesn't seem to "resonate" with the radical Left. The utter failure of their Social Experiment is plain to all except elite American and European liberal intellectuals.

Speak to any imigrant from China/Russia/Vietnam/Cuba/Korea/etc... and they will remind you that Socialist Utopia is a living hell, with the most basic needs like bread and toilet paper nearly impossible to acquire.

A good read: The Politics of Bad Faith by David Horowitz. He reveals how the American Left simply ignores recent history (sort of like the stubborn Clinton supporters we know and love).

Ok, I've been meaning to write something on this subject for some time and this seems to be the right opportunity.

First and foremost, it's not "capitalism" that the communists/socialists/Democrats have a problem with - but rather "fascism". Fascism is, briefly stated, the "unholy alliance" between government and big business. And what could be a better example of such an unholy alliance than Bill Clinton's attempt to pacify Monica Lewinsky by obtaining a corporate position for her at Revlon. Another classic example is that of politically connected business leaders who are allowed to take nuclear "nation buster" submarines for personal joyrides (much to the dismay of any shipboard Japanese students who happen to be in the way).

When obviously worthless dumb-asses...like that guy who ran Enron into the ground...find themselves at the helm of multi-billion dollar public corporations, then you can just bet that you're no longer living in Kansas anymore, but rather in that wretched stew of public/private corruption that is fascism. The geenies see fascism and don't like it, and any non-corrupt conservative who sees it won't like it either.

Capitalism, on the other hand, is no guaranteed blessing to the business person. Every night the small shop or restaurant owner goes to bed wracking his or her brain for any strategy that might result in more and happier customers. For this reason capitalism is a more faithful friend to common citizen than any other economic system - more faithful even than the family dog.

I'm a pure capitalist, and I can tell you that I rise every morning and go to bed every night, focused on the singular goal of how might I make my existing and prospective customers more happy - how might I better serve you? This preoccupation is indeed the curse of true capitalism.

If America wants to become socialist or communist then I would invite any American reading this to do that very thing by voting straight Democrat and/or Communist in our public elections. I have for years sworn that I would recover the tennis serve that I lost when leaving High School, and when the opportunity to do business is no longer available to me then that's excatly what I'll do - that and of course cozy up as necessary to the politicos who come into power.

And you, America, rather than dealing with the "capitalist" who rises in the morning and goes to bed in the evening with no thought other than achieving your satisfaction and happiness, will instead deal exclusively with the worthless n'er-do-well bureaucrats with whom we are all already much too familiar.

Go ahead, make my day!

We Communists believe that socialism is the very best replacement for a capitalist system that has served its purpose, but no longer meets the needs and requirements of the great majority of our people.

Freedom will bury you -- over the long haul of time.

Production increases much faster than under capitalism, with a planned economy, advancement of science and technology, and the protection and preservation of our environment and natural resources

This the big lie. Production always decreases in a socialist economy because there is little incentive to work harder or be innovative. There has never been a successful socialist society. Socialism is born out of jealousy. Nothing good can come from it.

Which is why I call them the Democrats/Socialists/Communists/Utopians. Those people have totally lost their grip on reality, yet they continue to get relected! These guys truly believe their vision of Nirvopia can be reached under these two conditions: (1) if it is done by them, because only they (the Dems) know how to do it; and (2) if they have enough money. They are really, truly wackos, which Daschle and Gephardt leading the pack.

On a positive note, you did great on your first post.

The U.S. will become a vast construction site.

Somehow I can't see the Greenies taking to this phrase too well! Obviously modern Democrats are not pure socialists; the environmental aspect of their retorict is rather out of joint with the whole working class dribble.

Communist Goals - 1963 Congressional Record ... see post #51 for their success rate thus far.

Remember that 54 members of Congress are card-carrying members of the Democratic Socialists of America. That's 10% of all of Congress, and 20% of all Democrats.

So, when can we all quit working, lay back, and collect our checks?
What?
You mean someone will have to work for the wealth to be spread?
Wouldn't having a job be considered captialism?
Screw that. Just send the check.
If the socialist take over, don't expect me to break my hump to pay someone else. I'll join the easy street. Let's see how their utopia works when nobody tries anymore.
Why bother? Someone else will recieve the reward for your labors. No way.
Why be a doctor when raking leaves pays the same? Why be a scientist when pumping gas pays the same? Why become a teacher when you can be a welfare mom?
Why be an archatict when you can sweep floors and get paid the same? Why work hard for nothing?
Every nation that has tried socialism has fallen.

Bump for later perusal, after I finish throwing up. THese socialist had better get a clue, capitalism works, and WORKS WELL, Socialism SUCKS, and sucks badly. It has destroyed whatever country it has touched, USSR being one, Canada being the next and the EU being the next.

We need to tell people who the socialists are, if a person is called a socialist, I don't care what crowd it is, he will become very unpopular, VERY FAST!!

I don't hate many people, but socialists are one group that I am happy to hate and spit upon. My freedoms and the freedom of my children is important to me, and therefore socialists are a PERSONAL threat. THEREFORE I HATE THEM AND DESPISE THEM!!! Hillary and her crook husband being on the top of that list.
