I guess this is where the Dems get their ideas, speeches and rhetoric. Sounds just like, Gore, Gephardt and friends.
My first post. I hope I did this correctly.

This is pretty sickening reading. I couldn't make myself even read it all. The socialist dream: everyone equal, no private enterprise, everything and everyone under state control. Totalitarianism to promote the "common good."
I think you're right, this is where the dems get their ideas. In fact, alot of it sounds like normal conversation in everyday America. We've come quite a bit further down the road toward the horrors of socialism than many of us realize.

It's amazing people listen to this garbage, and believe it. They think there can be a man made heaven on earth.

This is what the 'toons and Gore and most of the other dims believe, as well as Tony Blair. It's called the Third Way. Communism was tried and it failed in Russia and China. Now they're working on us.
There are by their own count 52 members of congress who are members of the Democratic Socialist Organization. They have a website out there that lists all their members. You can probably guess the names of a lot of the usual suspects.
Hillary's own particular favorite flavor of communism is reported (by Michael Savage) to be Leninism, in which there is a ruling elite which gets all kinds of lovely perks that the rest of us mere mortals are not entitled to.
Nice post, congrats on a good first one!

>One thing is clear, there won't be socialism in the U.S. until the majority of the American people want it. Is it at all possible for any other single statement to more clearly show that this clown is lying through his teeth?!

P.S. Good job on the first post!

The part about the bill of rights is infuriating, socialism's idea of a bill of rights couldn't be more diametrically opposed to that of James Madison and the people who wrote it. Socialism's "bill of rights" will be granted by the state while the founders envisioned it as something that would protecte us
from the state. the great majority, who will now own the meeting halls translate: the great majority=the state.

It seems most people don't realize how the goals of these groups are being realized incrementally. They think communism/socialism can only be accomplished through a violent revolution.

Thank God the author is now deader than his philosphy.

Philosophy. Philosophy.
To: hellinahandcart
Yeah, he's dead, but he's still able to write speeches for Albert Gore. How's he do that?

What will be the goals of our socialist society? A life free of exploitation, insecurity, poverty; an end to unemployment, hunger and homelessness. An end to racism, national oppression, anti-Semitism, all forms of discrimination, prejudice and bigotry. An end to the unequal status of women. Renewal and extension of democracy; an end to the rule of corporate America and private ownership of the wealth of our nation. Creation of a truly humane and rationally planned society that will stimulate the fullest flowering of the human personality, creativity and talent. Never believe a leader who promises utopia.
Renewal and extension of democracy;
What the hell does this double speak mean?
an end to the rule of corporate America and private ownership of the wealth of our nation.
The quickest way for the wealth of our nation to disappear
Creation of a truly humane and rationally planned society that will stimulate the fullest flowering of the human personality, creativity and talent.
The fancier the words, the less they deliver. Here's what socialism (and enviromentalism) will deliver:
A huge class of parasites
No incentive to produce
A government no longer of the people
The end of the united states - this is their real goal

Before the election the CPUSA was a hoot. Did everything but endorse Hillary. Another group to watch is the Working Families Party. They are an off-shoot of the CPUSA and get a lot of financial support from Democrats.
Btw...the CPUSA got one of their members elected to a school board in the Bronx a few years back. He was endorsed by Al Gore's buddies in AFSCME.

They have our very own, customized utopia planned for us.

Since its inception capitalism has been fatally flawed.
It's not capitalism that is fatally flawed...it's mankind. Anyone ever hear of "Original Sin"?

It reminds me of those who voted for CFR because the system is corrupt. Of course it couldn't be the pol's. who are corrupt.

good first post. exhilirating, huh?
That Socialism and Communism jointly are responsible for over 100 million ruined lives in the 20th century... doesn't seem to "resonate" with the radical Left. The utter failure of their Social Experiment is plain to all except elite American and European liberal intellectuals.
Speak to any imigrant from China/Russia/Vietnam/Cuba/Korea/etc... and they will remind you that Socialist Utopia is a living hell, with the most basic needs like bread and toilet paper nearly impossible to acquire.
A good read: The Politics of Bad Faith by David Horowitz. He reveals how the American Left simply ignores recent history (sort of like the stubborn Clinton supporters we know and love).
