[history]
When President Bush addressed the nation shortly after Sept. 11, he urged parents "to live your lives and hug your children." That line was inserted by Karen Hughes, his counselor, over strong objections from some male advisers. "I've had a lot of people mention that line to me," Hughes told us in her White House office, "and I do think it appealed on some instinctive level to women. Some of our speechwriters thought it was an odd line. They asked me several times, 'Are you sure you want that line in there?' and I said, 'Yeah, I do.' "

FYI. I found this article interesting, and more proof that our President truly respects women, rather than using them for his own gain.

I really enjoyed this article. I kept waiting for the zinger but it never came. Because it was written by two democrats, little Tommy Daschole and Gephardt are going to be fuming with jealousy.

. "It makes you appreciate how important it is to make the world a safer place," Clarke says. "That gets driven home to me every night when I go home to see my kids, and every morning when I leave in the dark and kiss them goodbye." Thanks for the PING .. what a nice article

Yeah, I was waiting for it too, considering the authors. But I detected some genuine respect for the President, and for his attitude toward women, and coming from the left, that's a good thing!

"My moms..." I love it.That's the line that caught my attention too! President Bush cares so much about the people with whom he works, and who knows the value of being a mom.
Everything about this President is refreshing!

I know. Remember what he said at the convention during his acceptance speech....
"And mother, everybody loves you and so do I!"
It was a lovely tribute for the whole world to see.

Oh gee that was clever .. you stay up all night thinking of that oneLOL!! The name callers are usually a bit shy on brain cells, so it takes all night to come up with their 'clever' retorts!
Oh gaspar .... the point of my posting this was that the President treats people with respect .......... can you grasp that principle?

It was a lovely tribute for the whole world to see.And so is his treatment of, and respect for his wife.
I'll never forget how he teared up in his interview with Oprah, when he talked about how Laura willed their two little baby girls to be born healthy, and he talked about what a tribute it was to motherhood. He has said that the birth of his daughters was one of the most significant events in his life, and I believe it!

W teared up? Why, I can't imagine. LOL! I remember reading an interview with Laura and they asked if she gets teary like her husband and she said, "oh no...that's a Bush family trait!"
In his book, W says he couldn't even finish his dedication when he gave that gift to SMU in Laura's name. Laura had to come get him from the podium and wipe his tears.

Karen Hughes is a Mare's ass. You're wasting valuable oxygen. Go back to your altar and worship your god, the lying scumbag Clinton and her husband.
