Airline Pilots Security Alliance, Armed Pilots Petition Needs YOUR Signature!
Please go to the Airline Pilots Security Alliance website at www.secure-skies.org and sign the petition that is in red at the top of their home page.
It is a petition to Congress and the President to support implementing the armed pilot program.
We have 2 weeks to get the maximum number of signatures.
These will be downloaded and taken to Congressman Mica (Chair for Aviation Sub Committee), who will be holding a hearing on or about May 2nd specifically on the issue of arming pilots.
TOPICS: Constitution/Conservatism
KEYWORDS: armingpilots; banglist; firearms; gun; guncontrol; guns; gunsinthecockpit; pilots; secondamendment
I have had five others sign this petition to arm our pilots. Go to this website and sign the petition. Make our airlines safer by giving our commercial pilots handguns.

I think the program is proposing a Glock and another firearm as the two acceptable weapons, and training would be done by FBI at their facility with pilots who opt to do this becoming special officers.

The Captain of an Airplane (or a ship, boat, etc) is first and foremost concerned with the safety of his passengers and crew.
If we are to trust these pilots with that responsibility. If they are worthy of that trust. Then they most certainly can be trusted with a firearm.
Wake up Mr. Minetta. There is no valid argument to deny arming a pilot!

Signed it. Arm the Pilots!! Arm the passengers!!!
Until then, they don't get a dime from me legally. And I don't care if the airlines go broke.
