Thanks for posting - I was wondering just this morning if anything was going on with Berry and the CRC.

I am glad that something is being done about this commission. Ms. Berry is quite rude and frankly has been in power too long. Please keep us informed as to what happens.

MARY FRANCES BERRY Chairperson Mary Frances Berry became Chairperson of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights on November 19, 1993. An Independent, she was reappointed to the Commission by the President in January 1999.6 year terms, she won't be out until January 2005,if some dem President doesn't reappoint her.
The CRC is a waste of our tax dollars.

So many punch lines - so little time...

I see a campaign of defamation against the commission said Nadler as he polished off a bucket of chicken wings and a Big gulp.

"Democratic supporters called the inquiry a petty vendetta...."At least the Dem's are talking about something they understand.
Also, the article talks about Berry being reappointed in 1999; wasn't she reappointed or appointed out of cycle so that her tenure is effectively twice that provided for?

"I see a campaign of defamation against the commission," he (Nadler) said. This from a man who hasn't seen his own feet for 30 years.
