I said it before and I'll say it again.
This money is not going to the Palis, it's going into the Saudi war chest,
to buy arms and missiles for the upcoming war.

I doubt Saudi Arabia could defend itself against any of its neighbors. It may have a lot of toys but they won't stop a determined force.

We have no idea how much arms the Saudis really have.
To: japaneseghost
They can have a lot but they have no one to deliver it.

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia - A princess donated her Rolls-Royce, one woman gave up her dowry and other Saudis poured millions of dollars into a fund to help families of Palestinian "martyrs" in a countrywide telethon yesterday. Translation - "We think you Palestinians are scum and will do nothing to help you - except when you are murdering Jews, in which case we'll fund that effort.

Some months back the Palestinians were expressing outrage that their women were being searched by the Israelis at the checkpoints. Now we know they didn't care about the well-being of the women. They only were afraid they weren't going to get away with "dressing" their women in explosives.
Two questions...
Do families of failed suicide bombers (who only blow themselves up and no one else) get as much money as families of successful homicide bombers (who actually kill others)?
What do the Taliban think of the way the female homicide bombers travel around in public without a male escort? Shouldn't a brother be accompanying the explosive woman?

The ruling Al Saud family inaugurated the fundraiser on Monday, with King Fahd donating US$2.7-million, Crown Prince Abdullah giving US$1.35-million and Prince Sultan, the Defence Minister, donating US$800,000. The proud recipients.....

Makes me wonder what kind of entertainment they present during such a telethon...some guy balancing 20 spinning landmines on top of poles, another one juggling ticking suicide belts, and maybe a beheading or two, just for kicks?

Makes me wonder what kind of entertainment they present during such a telethon... Somehow I don't think Jerry Lewis was consulted.

The entertainment was videos of israeli attacks on terrorist cells and armed stores without any corresponding potrayal of jihadis blowing up people. Can't remember the talkshow i heard it on. This morning i did hear Rumsfeld call it 'blood money' at a clip from a press conference.

This is what has W shaking in his texas boots.

I saw such a telethon live during a recent visit to Yemen. Whenever someone phoned in a pledge of more $10 (US), a suicide bomber would detonate his tuxedo. The trans-Atlantic telephone lines were jammed...

This is what has W shaking in his texas boots. You mean, he's scared? I don't know about that but, it does seem like Saddam got his wish: using Saudi Arabia as the base from which to strike Iraq is relegated to pipe dream status.
