It will be a while. They haven't found the drug, only the pathway. However, when they do athletes seem to be the ones with connections and are the ones standing at the front of the line.

Lovely, but I bet this pill won't do a darn thing for cardiovascular disease. What good are muscles if blood can't get through the sludge in one's arteries?

Drink more beer. It thins the blood so fat doesn't clog up arteries.

The first time I ever had my cholesterol tested it came back at 100. The doctor asked me, very tactfully, if I was an alcoholic. I assured him that I wasn't and asked why he inquired. He told me that mass quantities of alcohol will lower one's cholesterol, but since that amount of booze also did mean and nasty things to the rest of one's bod, they didn't recommend it for that :)

I don't know anything about this and am curious. I would love to see a pharmaceutical description. What are the pharmacodynamics; metabolism properties, bioavailability..., precautions, adverse events...
