O.K. by me. They don't tax me so high if I refuse to earn (much). Being poor is still legal, and hell, it might even get me on the other end of this gravy train I've been funding.

You have done exactly what I have done. I got tired of being shaken down for more than half of my income, so I just quit working so much. In fact, I'm not working very much at all any more. Why should I? Just so the damned government can steal it all from me? I've given up. It's time for the productive to shrug. Who is John Galt?

You can consider yourself "paid in full" after a couple of years on that end of the gravy train. Think of as a tax break/reparation to be suckling at the teat for a while.
