I'm not so sure that this was done because we want to distance ourselves from Israel. The Israelis are fighting in a conflict that could quickly escalate, so now is not a good time for them to be deploying forces elsewhere for an exercise.
Sorry if this was already posted. I searched on the title and several keywords and didn't find anything.

3X in just the last few weeks the U.S., for the FIRST TIME, has voted with the conscience of the world and against the aggressor state of Israel.
Bush is changing the way business has been conducted in the past.

You are insulting your own intelligence if you believe what you say.

Bush is forcing Arafat out of office. That is new and very welcome development indeed. Bush is so much more on Israel's side than Clinton was. That is refreshing. Much more pro Israel than former Presidents.

You are insulting your own intelligence if you believe what you say. It is impossible to insult that which does not exist.

The cancellation of the exercise was due, in large part, to logistical concerns, because Israel is fighting the Palestinians.Just love liberal the press. They can't resist the urge to spin the story but don't want to be caught without a statement that allows them plauseable denial of their bias.

Just who are these Pentagon Sources who's mouths are hinged in the middle and flap endlessly on both sides. Doesn't it seem wrong for these officials to be telling all, all the time, to media buzzards? I often wonder how the media knows all that it reports it knows, and doubt very much that it knows anything at all that has substance. My contempt for the media, including Fox is only slightly less than my attitude toward the Clintons.

I don't think you have a deep grasp of world events. Or are you trying to convince yourself of something?

This was obviously done because our troops are preparing an attack on Iraq.
