Florida bar association investigating Fieger's comments

SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) -- The state bar association is investigating comments made by Michigan attorney Geoffrey Fieger about jurors following his client's murder conviction.
Fieger, who gained national attention as the attorney for assisted suicide advocate Jack Kevorkian, called the jurors who convicted Ralf Panitz last month "creeps, Nazis and bad people," according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
Fieger has denied using the word "Nazis." A message left Friday night at Fieger's home was not immediately returned.
In a complaint filed with the bar association last week, local Circuit Chief Judge Thomas Gallen said Fieger violated the state's rule that bans attorneys from making false statements about the qualifications or integrity of jurors.
Bar officials said Gallen's complaint was assigned to an investigator on Thursday, who could dismiss the complaint or refer it to a grievance committee by August.
Panitz, 42, was convicted March 26 of second-degree murder for killing his ex-wife, Nancy Campbell-Panitz, in July 2000. She was slain just hours after the airing of a taped episode of the "Jerry Springer Show" featuring her being confronted by Panitz and his current wife, Eleanor.
The slaying also happened the same day a local judge ordered Panitz out of the home he had once shared with his ex-wife. Prosecutors told jurors Panitz killed Campbell-Panitz because he was infuriated she'd won the court order.

This is the guy that said that Jewish Rabbis were as bad as Nazis over their opposition to Kevorkian. He also said Jesus was a fool that got himself nailed to the cross.
He's a joke. Maybe he can go back to being his brother Doug's roadie when they tour with the song "My Sharona"!!!
The threat is, if Granholm gets the nomination..he runs. He hates Granholm. An enemy of Granholm is a friend of mine!
The thought is however, even if he runs, he won't pull enough votes from Granholm to prevent her victory considering current polling. He did pull 38% last time around...

Maybe that one percent he gets is enough to give Posthumus the win. Engler won by 17000 votes in 1990.
Doug Fieger contributed more to society with the riff to "My Sharona" than Geoffrey Fieger has contributed in his entire life.
