God forbid, if a full-scale war would break out in the Mideast, there is no way for Israel to strike out at Iran, Lebanon, Iraq and such, let alone defend itself against the Arab countries. How many soldiers and what kind of firepower does Israel posses vs. the Arabs. Would we come to the aid of Israel? This could ignite WW III?

No need, Israel already has the Golan Heights seeded with Enhanced Radiation Warheads (Neutron bombs) in preparation for a Syrian invasion. I believe that they could be remotely detonated when necessary or desired. Based on articles that I have read in the past, it was Israel that was first to develop them, not the U.S. because they realized that they would use them in close quarters.

Israel had at one time over 400 warheads and currently is believed to possess 800 of them. As to what the percentage is as to being missile, bombs, artillery, land mine, etc i have no idea.

Israel is the 4th strongest military on the Planet... don't underestimate their ability and resolve. They have conquered every state around them simultaneously, and had they wanted to would have occupied Cairo within less than a week.

I agree it would not be great thing, but if it takes Israel kicking the collective arses of the arab world again so be it. Arabs cannot fight modern wars, their military and heirachy are jokes. I would rather see peace than war, but if it takes war to achieve peace, so be it.

The doctrin that's part of the Koran is ...it is a duty to get the land back forAllah. No peace agreement will remove that. The Arabs will die for that. This has become on the level of blasphemy.

There can be no long lasting peace. They are trying to eliminate Israel. Arafat (or any other leader for the Arabs ) will get as much land as he can, and then take them over. Diplomacy will not stop that. If Israel gives up the land, they will not be able to defend themselves. The Prophetic Senerio is that Israel will never be defeated again.

All Israel's electronic servalence is in the Golan Heights, and if you give it away, the Musllim world will over power them. Arafat has said " Jerusalem belongs to the Arab..and NO NEGOTIATIONwill ever suceed."

Probably Katyushas, but it is worth nothing that Iran has given Hizballah longer-range rockets, capable of reaching central Israel from launch postions along the Lebanon border. So far, Hizballah has not used the longer-range rockets against Israel. BTW, Israel is supposedly deploying an anti-rocket defense system along its northern border, to deal with the rocket threat. At last report, testing of the system (developed with the U.S.) was complete, and deployment was supposed to begin soon...

Various rankings place different nations in different places.. but Israel is always in top 10. I personally believe they are about 4th in the world, behind US, China and Russia.

US is undoubtably superior, we spend more on the military of the other 9 countries usually listed in the top 10 combined. Our technological advantage is so great and speed and range so far reaching, no other military can stand against it. Some have argued China could simply based on sheer numbers, even though lacking in technical prowess can make up for it in sheer bodies, in fact some list China #1 for this reason... I don't buy that, but do believe war with China is likely inevitable and will happen eventually. Russia, its military is in decline still has a lot of relatively high tech weaponry relative to the rest of the worl and a sizeable military. Israel gets number 4, technologically sound, rapid, able to mobilize up to 1/2 a Million reserves nearly instantly, and ready to fight. I don't think any nation in that area of the world could stand up to a concerted attack by Isreal. Iraq has numbers, but its armor is ancient, troops poorly trained, and as we saw in 91, can be routed quickly with modern techniques and hardware. (same with most of the arab states). I would not advise israel fight every nation on its borders simultaneously, but I would bet on Isreal winning if it happened.
