Some members of the Air Force Reserve's 926th Fighter Wing, equipped with A-10 Thunderbolt II jets, are joining the war on terrorism, with the first units expected to leave their Belle Chasse home this week.

The 110 members of the wing called to active duty are based at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base. It was not known where they are headed, but spokesman Maj. Ren
